Yep the local distro here also advised about fiio shipping the pre-ordered m11 units next week. Should have mine by 2nd week of June at the latest. Still a long wait to go.

Correct. We've been getting regular firmware updates so far. I'm shocked others are still having synch issues on youtube as mine isn't exhibiting that issue at all. Extremely pleased with my purchase so far. Will probably be my first full review on Head-fi.

I ordered one also and should get it Wednesday. I have dx220 as a stablemate, and recently had ak sr15, and zx300, and then wm1a. That smooth screen action got me DX220 is like wm1a maybe even a bit better with mango OS. And it's better than sr15 because the soundstage is much bigger.

So if m11 is close to that it will be pretty damn amazing for the price and save me some dosh. If I don't return ibasso and keep it I'll just sell m11. M11 looks really nice, dx220 isn't as fast or smooth in the ui.

Yes, the M11 will pre-installed the 1.05 firmware which supports LDAC receive.

Sorry to go off topic, but how did the SR15 compare to the DX220? I was going to order the Fiio M11 but their products have been under-cooked and glitchy to me in the past. I really hope the M11 is a great DAP, but I still have apprehensions from this company.

Sound wise, the dx220 has a way bigger soundstage and is more 3d than sr15. It's more like the se100 futura. The benefit of sr15 is it's compact size. But if you're talking about pure sound quality the dx220 smokes it.

However, ak sr15's UI and speed/smoothness are better than dx220. So I'm hoping m11 will sound like dx220 and have that fantastic UI to navigate with.

And someone mentioned viper a few pages back, viper is a suite of advanced dsp effects that is similar to hiby magic 8 ball. I think the effects are system wide and will affect tidal/spotify and such.

Interesting to hear impressions as someone stated that sonyzx300 is more musical and m11 is analytical. But hope that m11 sounds musical also as i don't like too much brightness and analytical character.

Yes if it sounds like dx220 definitely! And actuality it would be $250 less. Sr15 is 700 dollars! Ak stuff is nice but overpriced imo.

Yes that's what piqued my curiosity about the m11. I have to see for my self, I already know the UI is better and everything is faster. But the dx220 sounds very good so....

Nope just one man's opinion, and there are 2 that say it doesn't sound as good. But I'm going to keep an open mind and even if the ibasso is a bit better I might keep the m11 anyways for the smooth/fast UI.

And fiio stuff seems to be getting better with each release, for instance the problems of the previous m9 are resolved with the more powerful processor and amp.

And fiio said they upgraded the power supply and the output caps for less noise, so that's very promising.

The DX220 sounds better than the SR15 in every way, it's not even a contest, and that's with the original amp.

That said the M11 is a better price per quality ratio than the DX220. The DX220 is worth it if you invest is a better amp attachment, such as the AMP8, otherwise there are better options at a similar price range.
