V2 is what it should've been from the start. Now it is usable at last, hopefully this is only the beginning of better FiiO software.
thank yo very very so much my bro basking. wow.. very detailed information for me us.... best answer. case closeUsing 4.4 mm (and desktop mode on KA17), the KA17 has better soundstage and layering. Micro-detailing is slightly better on the TP50 but the TP50 is more harsh/sterile.
However, beyond stock tuning, the KA17 has PEQ on android app, which can actually boost the clarity and upper frequencies to hit almost the same amount of micro-detailing as the TP50.
TP50 has weaker power even on 4.4 mm.
(3.5mm, Desktop Mode, High Gain)@FiiO what are the output Vrms for the KA17 on bal and se?
What is the weight and size of the KA17?
Does it have shelf filters?Just tried V2.00 - this is a major update
I think I might update my review as this version adds lots of good features. Especially for those with a Mac or even an iPhone (as the editing of the filters in Chrome on a Mac works). This new website for editing though seems a little buggy in that it connects and disconnects randomly within my Chrome but I was able to change the EQ filters and it seemed to save them back to the KA17.
Also, some of those other missing features are also in this upgrade like Low pass / high pass filters and I see there is an updated FiiO Control application.
Though the names of the custom filters aren't exactly the same when I look at the EQ profiles in the FiiO Control App - I guess there are a few little bugs still but this update is so much better for providing control over the KA17.

Sorry they are low shelf and high shelf filter here is a screen shot:Is this "low shelf" and "high shelf" filters or something different?

Dear friend,One very nice side effect of the fiiocontrol website is I am pretty sure either a separate UI could also be built to 'upload' exported PEQ Filters, a feature I do hope FiiO add anyway but the community could do it first or even a Chrome Extension to 'enhance' the FiioConrol website..
I can see the code (in Chrome's developer console) writing to the FA17:
using this API:

When I change the Filters in the UI - here is a change of gain being pushed to the device:

What colour marble did you get on the chord mojo? If your apple hires content was downloaded rather than streamed it should have lit up green indicating 96khz.Hi, I'm fairly noob on these things, so apologies in advance if I'm doing something that is obviously wrong.
I received the KA17 yesterday and updated it to 2.00.
I'm using it on my Android phone Sony Xperia 10 IV with Apple Music, I have turned on high-res lossless audio options on the Apple Music app, but music that should be played at higher sample rate is always displayed as PCM 48K on the KA17. I've tried to browse various options on the KA itself and Apple Music, but can't seem to make it work.
Things that aren't high-res lossless on Apple Music are displayed as PCM 44.1K, so there does seem to be a difference, but it only goes up to 48K.
When I used the Chord Mojo (1) in the past, it was clearly going higher on sample rate with Apple Music.
Anyone with a similar experience, or can thing of anything obvious I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for your help!
