Hi!

I already have a e10 and a e10k, so I was wondering if I should add the Fiio a5 to drive hd600 or just ditch everything and get a k5 Pro. Anyone can compare the amp section?
Dear friend,

You may read some comparison from: https://www.fiio.com/k5pro_comparisons

And due to individual preferences, you could read the professional reviews and comparisons, as well as try out by yourself.

Best regards

Hi @FiiO, please tell me you didn't forget an option to switch off lighting off on the knob. When Im watching movie or listening to music at dark room the last thing I need is light blasting my eyes. No light off is deal breaker for me. I find the idea of different light color on knob silly anyway its distracting, simple small diodes (which can be easy covered with plaster would be just fine)

I 100% agree with this comment, while I have seen other headphone ams, AV parts and many manufacturers ignoring the led 'glow' factor its such a small and easy request but one that I find is almost ignored in this day and age.

You would think with the Green and Eco side of the planet and energy wasting and less annoying factor, engineers would at least give their customers to switch led lights on and off, sadly its not the case.

And it sure looks tacky covering up LED lights with blue tack or black tape too !

I hope engineers creating future products take note :)

@FiiO: I did not see any info on the USB-C dock on your site. It's mentioned near the bottom about connecting your USB-C players directly to the K5 Pro. I'm interested in the possibility of using the K5 Pro connected to my Samsung Galaxy S9+. Is this possible, or is the dock only compatible with your M9, M11 players? Thank you.

Dear friend,

Thanks for your interest in our product.

Theoretically, it could supports the type c mobile phone with USB audio output. However, there is still no unified type c digital audio standard in the mobile phone industry. So whether it could work is depending on the phone. We can't guarantee to support all the type c phones.

Best regards

Yes, that can be a concern. Does the Type-C to Type-B cable come with the dock? And is there a release date for it in the USA? Thank you again.

OK. But does the cable come with the DK1 Type-C version, and do you know when that will be released in the US? I only see the micro-USB DK1 on your site & aliexpress. Thank you.

Dear friend,

I can not tell the estimated time of the release currently. The DK1 TYPE C version and the micro to square cable cable could be purchased sperately later time.

Best regards

Considering Q5s and Zen Dac for budget desktop solution. Please FiiO a K5 hardware update with balanced 4.4 input. Robust 4.4mm jacks gaining in popularity in mobile audio sector and appreciated by desktop user. Option to dim/turn off lights on audio components always welcome. Looking and looking, but no desktop amp/dac in $200-$350 that checks most features I require. More choice than ever, but less with ones I need. Wireless and mobile dominating with younger generations. Applaud their economy and common sense. More exciting times in audio than I ever remember. Folks are ditching big systems for smaller footprint systems more than ever.

this little desktop amp i recently bought is worth it. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1x-TPA3...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 no headphone out but i use a 3.5mm splitter at the computer side.

Got it! Connected to Fiio X5 II thru coax and feeding a Denon AH-D7200 headphones at lowest gain. Glad to return to the old familiar rotating knob for volume control. I like its powerful, clean and fast sound and also the led glow, specially when changing colors with different files’ sampling frequencies
