I have a few questions. why no AK4490? and whats its output power @ 32ohms? and it has battery or require separate power supply?

Power supply is via USB.

Output power :
SE => 220mW into 16 ohms, 120 mW into 32 ohms
BAL => 320mW into 16 ohms, 200 mW into 32 ohms

Why the AK4452? Cheaper - and this is a more economical desktop product after all. Plus the levels of performance (considering what is actually audible) are on par with the AK4490 anyway. AK4490 has slightly better specs, but a lot more expensive, and you won't hear the improvement. Like a lot of things in audio - just because the numbers are larger does not necessarily make them better!

Oh - and it sounds pretty good too!

Thanks for reply, I was planning to buy Q1 MKII. Since my main use is not portability I can go for this instead, hopefully my local fiio dealer gets it quickly.
