Has someone used FIIO R9 with FIIO PL50 DC power supply? I Am curious to know if it works well given that PL50 only supports 15V 2AMP whereas R9 needs 15v 3AMP.
It works well as long as you don't have any hard drives hooked to the R9.

I connected the PL50 to the R9, an SSD drive was also connected to the R9, and I didn’t experience any problems.
I think that the R9 may not have enough ampere power of the PL50 if you connect demanding headphones such as HIFIMAN SUSVARA or similar to it.

Per the PL50 is not really needed for the R9, I'd be curious if there's different opinions.

Hi @FiiO. Recently Roon published their regular monthly Partner's update showing devices that have been made Roon Ready. We are still waiting for R9 to be made Roon Ready. Will this ever happen or will we just need to rename the R7 forever?

I asked the same question of @FiiO a while back and they never answered me. To do the same again would not be a good look.

Hi, it took us some time to confirm with the engineer. The Roon team has finally replied the email but there are some parts to be modified still. So it will take some time to get the correct R9 name in Roon still. And actually the Roon ready function is not affected.

And how, exactly, does one rename the R9 to R7 so that Roon sees it as an R7? TIA!
From the Roon forum

"In Roon, go to Settings, then Audio. In the Roon Ready section you will see FiiO R7 (even though you actually have an R9). Once you enable it there will be a box where you can call the R7 (as Roon identifies it) anything you like - in my case I just named it R9temp."

Hello @FiiO. I want to ask if there would be a fix for the indicator lights turning on when not in used? It has happened a few times and I'm not sure why the lights turn on when the screen is off or by itself. Thanks.

Hi, what's your setting in the settings-display-indicator light control option.
You could upload the log files to us for check: Go to technical support in R9-on line feedback(remember to select also upload the log files)-submit.

To the Fiio Rep:
I need some help with an order for the Fiio M23. I could not find a dedicated forum for the M23, so I though that I would post this here since I have the R9. I ordered the M23 through the Fiio store on AliExpress (Order no. 8187774537642206). It has shipped, I believe by DHL, but the tracking number (3611877124) states that this item was sent from Seoul, Korea to New South Wales in Austrialia. I live in California, USA. A similar issue occurred when I ordered the R9. My name is Michael Gutierrez. Can you help me with this? Please let me know what additional information you need. Thank you.
