anyone else finding the FH7 not very compatible with different cables? every cable i try is too loose. when i tried the stock cable with other IEMs, the cable would not fit, it was too big.

I'm using a 16-core **** cable with 4.4mm connector, without any problem.

Ok, my small update for FH7 dry bass. I should say that this is great bass for instruments, **** I love drums, I love strings, Hellfire by Barns Cortney is insane. Its just too dry for edm, seriously.
So, what helped me a little, I have Q5S as source, and neutral-neutral combination is just not working for me, but aptx adds the warmth that I was looking for. It's not the best in general, cause hight is messed a little, but at least it something for now. Also I ordered Oriolus BA300S, which should help me to fix it without loosing details, so when I'll receive it, I'll tell if it helped.
Just curious, did you enjoy pairing FH 7 with BA300S? what is your source?

So I need some advice, the fiio llc-2.5d cable, is it a noticeable upgrade from the stock cable? I'm using a BTR5 with my FH7.

Hello,

Generally, the 2.5mm balance output would have higer channel separation, with stronger stereo sense. And the LC-D cable is using pure silver so its material is theoretically better than the LC-B cable. But due to individual preferences, you could read the professional reviews and comparisons, as well as try out by yourself.

Best regards

Ohh thanks, but I mean the entire packaging, like where everything is unboxed

Oh...haha, sorry. I thought you meant the case. I doubt that one can buy only the package. Actually I never saw any box of any product be sold as "new", only used on Ebay etc. But who knows....Maybe you can write to Fiio?

Hi guys, this is my first post over hear, maybe i'm posting it in a wrong place(sorry for that, and for my english). I am in a search for fun sounding iem with a bit of bass, not neutral sound.
I have ordered Fiio fh5 on amazon and i have played with the them the whole day.
The source was my macbook pro (2018),
flac library Bruno Mars , Daft Punk , AC/DC ...
And to be honest i liked the sound, bass especially!
Then i saw the Fiio fh7 , returned the Fh5 and than want to order fh7,but amazon does not deliver Fh7 to my country(Austria).
I have found the store with fiio fh7 in stock but there are no returns on in ear headphones.

So biggest question, should i stay to fh5 or does the fh7 have same amount of bass? I will be happy with a little bit less also but not drastically less :gs1000smile: .
Also i want to play youtube music/ cd ... not always flac, dsd, or other high quality files.
And what of amp+dac could you suggest me to pair with these iems ifi hip dac, fiio q1 mark 2 , topping nx4 dsd ,fiio q5s?
Sorry i am completely new this and i want to buy something that gonna last years.
Thanks and cheers!
Sasha.

Hello,

Compared to the FH5, the output of FH7 extends to both ends, with better low frequencies, more detail at high frequencies, and a wider bandwidth.

And you could also have a try in the local store first.

I found it had a little less boom, but more speed and impact. I listen to a lot of metal and classical, so I like the sound on the FH7. Some reviewers have said they sound veiled, but I have not noticed that on my set at all. If I want more boom to the bass, I swap to the Sony XBA-N3 (dark, dark) or the Hidizs MS-4 (ridiculous thump). However, for brighter metal - the FH7.

I have both the Sony XBA-N3 and the FiiO FH7. The FH7 is a bit brighter, and the bass much tighter. The Sony is less bright - in fact, typical darker Sony sound - with solid bass and a "smoother" sound to it. If I am listening to music with more intricate guitar, I prefer the FH7. If I am listening to same genre, but heavier - say, Black Sabbath - I prefer the Sony.
I am undecided N3 and FH7, in conclusion if you had to keep only one, which would you choose? I listen to everything from hip hop to classical, but the emotion that can give me a violin and a guitar, nobody beats it, in your opinion which headphones are more complete? And who has a better soundstage? Thanks a lot you would help me a lot
