I see that the blue and green versions are available on Amazon US, or will be in stock in two days

I see that the blue and green versions will be in stock at Amazon US in two days. Are these part of the later batch?

Dear frined,

Yes, the blue and green versions are later batch.

Best regards

A balanced 4.4mm cable for my Sony DAP arrived today from AliExpress. Great looks and ergonomics for $35. Was about to get a 2.5 to 4.4mm adapter so I can use the FiiO balanced cable but the aesthetics of this cable was too hard to ignore lol. Finally found some time to do some tip-rolling too.

Stock with red stem: Very comfortable and great seal. The "bass heavy" variant of the tips were definitely too bassy for me, enough to be a distraction from enjoying my music. These were in and out of my ears after just a few songs.
Stock black: Again, excellent comfort and seal, although I was a bit OCD-ish about the easily visible dust specks on the tips. The "balanced" tips reduced the bass bloat a bit, and the signature is cleaned up somewhat. Good separation and clarity, however the bass thump was still a bit too much for my liking.
Spinfits CP100: The best comfort and deepest insertion, I could easily wear these for hours. Sound-wise, the bass is tightened further, with ensuing increase in apparent details. The imaging is more precise although the stage width is similar to the two stock tips. I could better hear height and depth compared to stock. Very good pairing.
Mandarines Symbio W: The best seal and isolation, a bit more shallow fit, but the foam pressure exerted would make my ears slightly warm after an hour or so. I don't know what magic these tips possess, but they provide the best resolution amongst all the tips. A lot of details are readily heard. The bass is the tightest and best-defined, vocals are clear and the highs are smooth while providing just a bit of sparkle. Also, the tips give the most out-of-head experience of all, with added spaciousness. They sounded the best for me.

That's a beautiful match to the blue FH1s. Can you provide a link?

Thanks for the link. I'll have to email them and see if they have a 2.5 balanced cable. The blue would be a really nice match to the FH1s.
Yeah, first time I bought a cable based on looks!

I had to send my black pair of FH1 IEM’s back to Amazon, they developed a break in one of the connections. I’m gonna try another pair in blue which I believe are a later batch.

I had the same problem with my black set on the right mmcx connection. Sent them back and got the blue one's. The blue set are fine, really loving them.

I have a few similar cables and for me the change in sound wasn't desireable. The highs are rolled off slightly for me. I would suggest not to go for cheap cables and buy something decent but not very expensive. If you really want the cable to make a desirable change to the sound . If you just want to tame the highs then it's a different matter altogether however for that I'd go with a good quality pure copper cable. Sorry for the rambling.

What I want to ask is whether the newer batch is rid of QC issues?
