FiiO EM3 - Impression and Discussion

Fiio would do the world a great justice with hybrid IEMs to go with their plethora of DACs and DAPs, maybe have a range from single BA and dynamic, up to perhaps 3 BA and single dynamic, or even try a hand at using the dual phase push-pull dynamics. Sound signature wise... perhaps something slightly flatter than V-shaped, but with clear details. Anything goes, eh? Price-wise, maybe a range from $100-$300? That would be really attractive.

Based on your existing relationship with Dunu, I would like Dunu DN-2000 like multiple BA/single dynamic driver sound but in a much lighter and smaller form factor. Priced around $150 or so.

It'll be very interesting if Fiio comes out with a $150-250 triple driver hybrid that can match in synergy with its Xs players. Need not be tunable filters due to the price point but perhaps 2 or more versions that will match its warm , black background house sound. Definitely a huge contender of an IEM itself !!

Been using my X5 for several years now and use it as my only source.  Stopped using ear buds because they were not rugged enough for me.  Would be interested mostly on build quality.

They look like a good match for my iPod Touch! Probably miles better sound quality that the pack in ear-pods as well! Fingers crossed!

Fiio should design an iem with strong noise isolation and a warm signature.

I'm on board with the idea of multiple-drivers, high-quality that can put the higher-cost brands to shame. I would like to see and hear FiiO make the best earbuds possible, but keep the cost down.

I would like to know the EM3 will work with my Fiio e12? I am also interested in the ear buds, will they be easy to replace? Thanks for your time.:)

The EM3 reminds me of earbuds I used a decade ago, at that time I enjoyed some 128kbps - 192kbps mp3 on the iPod Video and it sounded quite HD to my ears. Since I started to use iems, I completely forgot the feeling of an earbud.

I really want that feeling back again with something that really stands out in terms of SQ, Hope that I'll get a chance to hear this new pair from Fiio as I really love what I'm getting out of the EX1
