Nice! Can we get a change log?

I just applied the update and had some initial bluetooth issues with my S9 and iPad, this was resolved by removing my pairings and pairing them again. I did notice that now when connected to my computer via USB-c, the volume control on the headphone is independent from the Windows volume control. This is a welcome change, as before using the headphone volume control changed the Windows volume :)

The following changes and improvements have been made to the FW1.4:

1. Improved the volume adjustment curve, solved the issue of excessive volume adjustment span;
2. Improved the power indicator to make the battery indicator of the headphones and mobile phone more
consistent.
Best regards

Hey Fiio? Where are the alternate mesh ear pads for sale? I've been binging the 'phones to burn the diaphragms into fruition. My ears are getting toasty as well. I also think the mesh will dissipate some of the slight bass heaviness that is present without equalization.

According to your description, I cannot clearly recommend them to you. The EH3 NC are not neutral sounding per definition.
In my opinion they have a nice emphasis on mid-bass and can go very deep in the very lows but with a certain precision (definitely not like the Sony's do!). I also like the mids and the highs a lot with the EH3 NC, they make them sound good also for vocal recordings and classic music, and when there's no bass in the music, there is also no in the headphones... Or in other words, these headphones are my Swiss army knife for commuting since I do like to listen to many different genres of music.

Long story short, maybe you give them a try, for below 200 bucks they might do it for you.... Or you give the Dali iO-6 a chance, they seem to be definitely more on the neutral side according to many reviewers here.

Has anyone managed to find replacement pads? I'm having an issue with my ears touching the drivers causing discomfort. I've checked Brainwavz but they don't have a size which would fit.

These pads have a proprietary method of connection, so fitting non-Fiio pads may be a little dicey. I'd be careful with pad swapping as it might change the signature a bit. Fiio has advertised a 2nd set of mesh ear pads but, right now, they are made of "unobtainium".

I've been using these for my commute on CalTrain in Norcal. I find they are exceptionally good for passive ANC, but I play my music "LOUD" already so YMMV.
