Amazing price, even tho I got no idea about the sound quality.

Is there no multi point connection or ambient mode? For the price I can understand if it skips some features, but still.

$180 - 200 is killer price? site unseen? crap there are MANY models on amazon that can be had at better than this price that are proven to sound good. Like, several. Hell, even Senns and MD's are only like 25 - 50 away right now. Senn Momentum 2s are 199 - I know they sound and look amazing. Maybe older tech but as long as it sounds good, new tech doesn't matter if they sound like crap or have connection issues. Not saying these do but, many do.

As Fiio has been aggressively pursuing LDAC as a wireless solution for a large portion of their portable players for some time, and they have published their research into many of the issues with it, it gave me confidence in their technical expertise. I bought and returned the Audeze $400 Mobius last week for being not worth the cost. My phone does LDAC very well (LG V20). I have the ESS100, the HIBY AP-80 and the HIBY W5 (ordered last week). Very few devices support this protocol. Most manufacturers are chasing the fashion\status market associated with the Cupertino "House of Style/Status" market which is the antithesis of an audiophile technology company. Fiio has made their entire focus on sound reproduction for reasonable costs. For this price, I bought with confidence. I have the M&O, V-Moda, The KZ bluetooth neckband and many other bluetooth devices in the past. IEM's can be great but an over the ear wireless solution with a high rate transmission will fit very well into my audio technosphere. I don't stream anything so I need the best method conveying my 10TB of music wirelessly, when convenient and in portable mode.
