I mean how much does the ESP compress the audio when it's enabled and listening to CDDA? Does the ESP compress the bit rate to 320kbps, 256kbps, 192kbps or even lower? Just listening through the headphone jack.

Did you read his reply to me from July 24th? He explicitly said that the ESP is compressed.

1, after ESP is opened, the file is compressed, the compression time is 60 seconds for CD format and 120 seconds for MP3 format.

2, when ESP is turned off, the audio stream will not be compressed.

So it is recommended to turn off the ESP switch in non-mobile scenarios to get a better listening experience.

But when I listen to music, I think it sounds better without ESP than with it on

I have a suggestion for the DM15, if you were serious about FiiO eventually selling a DM15. Maybe the ESP switch could have 2 positions, the first position would be a 10 or 15 second uncompressed ESP, while the second position would be 60 seconds compressed.
