This beta firmware only fix the freezing problem when connecting some headphone in TX mode.
Are there any problem or function your would like to add for the BTA30Pro?

Best regards
I may have a slight issue but too soon to tell and I would indeed like some things changed or added and no doubt others also, thanks for feedback and changelog.

I just received my FH7's (I already have FH3 on my FiiO LC-BT2 Neckband) and on my phone at 24/192 they sound great, same on my Headphone Out on my Creative SoundBlaster ZxR at 24/192k they sound great and in both cases no EQ or any artificial shaping of the sound as I disabled it all.

Connected them via RCA to 3.5mm on the BTA 30 PRO and it is totally horrid tinny weird sound in all the files which are 24/192 and 24/384 files and Amazon Music HD (24/192k Max).

Now I know it does not have a Headphone AMP and I am not going to buy/use one but it should sound ok correct, IMO is should have been built with headphones in mind and a socket for them.

I am using my own size XL SpinFits (I have various models, shorter ones for TWS also) as none of the included fit me to test the different sounds as they are only up to size L and I have large canals, the same of my FH5's+LC-BT2 Neckband so I know they should be ok.

I do not really need to use my Azla Sedna range of tips indoors for Hi-Res listening as I do not need the Passive NC and they can make some earbuds too bass heavy.

Any feedback from the engineers regarding being able to get the BTA30Pro to transmit to an M11Pro or similar DAPs?

IMO a good start would be Double Press the button to Power Off instead of holding it for X seconds (which makes it enter BT Pairing Mode before it powers off).

Also in USB mode let it control media playback like Play/Pause/Skip Tracks and then the headphones should be able to do the same.

Why is the Optical only 24/92k when we have had 24/192k for years now, this would have allowed Optical from PC and then play with Amazon Music HD 9nto LEDA sorry it is only 96k) at its full bitrate.

(Slightly off topic): Also to have uniformity/consistency update the LC-BT2 (it has been a while) so it has some better functions like pressing a button to change codecs without going in the FiiO Connect App like the BTA30 PRO does and make the RGB match the BTA 30 PRO's colour scheme as it uses one colour for aptX/aptX-LL instead of two like the BTA30 PRO.

My set to have major connection distance issues (in kitchen so next room) from new (not had much use to be honest) and this is on any codec not just LDAC and sometimes it is hard to get the USB-C lead (its own cable due to recess is deep for bigger plugs types) to charge it without reinserting it a few times.

Why Would We Develop BTA30 Pro?--From @FiiO Willson

Chapter 2-1 Use Skills of FiiO BTA30 Pro

Because the BTA30 Pro has too many functions, some users may somewhat be confused. Therefore, I would like to share some skills about how to use the BTA30 Pro, just for your reference.
[Bypass mode]
Many users may know less about this function. Generally, TVs only have one optical output port. The bypass mode on the BTA30 Pro helps to release the optical output port on the TV. You can connect the optical output of the TV to the optical input of the BTA30 Pro, and then connect the BTA30 Pro to other devices, such as speakers, game consoles, etc. through the optical output of the BTA30 Pro.
At this time, the BTA30 Pro can also be used as a Bluetooth transmitter to connect to Bluetooth headphones, which support LDAC.
So there are several available use scenarios.
1. When watching a movie with your family, the BTA30 Pro can be connected to a speaker to share better sound quality.
2. When playing games with your family but do not want to bother others, each of you two can put on headphones to receive audio signals (The BTA30 Pro can be connected to two Bluetooth headphones at the same time).
3. If you want to watch football games or other TV programmes by yourself, you can also wear headphones.
In addition, the Bypass mode is supported in both Bluetooth transmitting mode and DAC mode. In DAC mode, it supports RCA analog output, optical output and coaxial output at the same time. The rich connectors allow you to connect almost any device you want.
In short, Bypass mode is a very practical function, which is convenient for connections to multiple devices.
Is this explanation clear enough? If you have any questions, please leave a message to us. We will try our best to help.

I found that removing the antenna when pairing makes for a more reliable connection. I believe it reduces interference from other 2.4Ghz devices nearby.
And, of course, place the intended BT device near the BTA30 pro to be detected without the antenna. Seems to work for me. YMMV.

Funny how there's no DAP in that picture101b5654-4b70-481e-af7d-db92cbdce893.jpg
Picture is just for reference. You could connect to computer, amplifier or some other devices when connecting to two Bluetooth devices at the same time.

Best regards

Chapter 2-2 Use Skills of FiiO BTA30 Pro

Because the BTA30 Pro has too many functions, some users may be somewhat confused. Therefore, I would like to share some skills about how to use the BTA30 Pro, just for your reference.
In this chapter, we will talk about one-button switching to game mode. The BTA30 Pro is one of the rare devices that supports Bluetooth transmitting. Our users praised that it's quite amazing to connect it to Sony PS5 and SWITCH. However, many users have no idea how to enable the game mode conveniently.
There is an A button (LL/HD button as shown in picture 1). When working in Bluetooth transmitting mode, we can complete the connection, switch Bluetooth codecs, as well as enter game mode with just one press.
Simply speaking, the key point is that when the BTA30 Pro is working in TX (Bluetooth transmitting) mode, we can quickly operate it. Here are some shortcuts.
Long press for 3 seconds--enter pairing mode
Short press--switch Bluetooth codec
Double press--enter/exit game mode by just one press
What is the benefit of this feature? When connecting it to a PS5, we can switch between listening to music and playing games since the PS5 supports Apple Music now.

When playing music, short press the button to switch between aptX HD and LDAC with higher bit rates and better sound quality.

To go back to game mode, double press the LL/HD button to switch to aptX LL to enjoy low-latency Bluetooth game experiences.
If you have any questions about how to use the BTA30 Pro, please let us know. We will try our best to help.

It is on your main webpages specs also.

I have now had an issue on two occasions on both original FW and Beta FW where while connected to my FiiO LC-BT2 where it is all working on LDAC or aptX-HD then suddenly I am on the aptX-LL Codec (Green), and can only select it or SBC (Blue) via the button.

Now I first checked the FiiO LC-BT2 via the FiiO Connect App on my phone and it was fine and then I tested with other earbuds that are aptX Adaptive and again only SBC was available.

I had to set the BTA 30 PRO to RX Mode and mess about to get it to open the Fiio Connect App (had to re-pair as I got errors connecting) and the first time this happened all my settings were messed up including most of the Codecs disabled and balance set off centre to the left (I never made either of these changes) but this time it all looked alright.

I never actually did anything but RESET it which took two attempts before I was back on LDAC and could cycle all the Codecs once again

You may check whether the APTX-LL first option was enabled?
In TX mode, double press button LL/HD after the device is connected, so to enable aptX LL First. Under this state, other Bluetooth codecs will be disabled except for aptX LL and SBC.
Double press button LL/HD again to disable aptX LL First. Light SYATUS will stay constantly on following the corresponding Bluetooth codec after the device is reconnected. At this time, all supported codecs will be enabled. Short press button LL/HD to successively switch the codec.

Best regards
