[FIIO BT11] Portable High-Res Bluetooth Transmitter Is Officially Released!

Good friends, yes the Fiio representative said that an update would be released at the end of January but it is just the Chinese New Year so don't expect the update until mid-February at the earliest, that is as long as they manage to fix everything that works wrong, he already said In a previous message, things were difficult due to the integration of LDAC in a Qualcoom Chip, so we'll see if they can solve it or, on the contrary, it will be a product that ends up in buyers' drawers.

BS are you a FiiO plant, blaming users when they admitted the issues and it has been pulled from sale at least twice due to issues, and it is not currently playing at the highest settings, you need the App for that when they actually add those settings.

Actually they said there won't be a release at the end of January but they postponed it to an uncertain later date. My unit still works flawlessly by the way. I really think that there is a lots of user error while others using the device. My suggestion:

1. You don't need the app at all.

2. Turn the phone's Bluetooth off when using the BT11.

3. Use the headphone's physical volume controls after the first pairing.
Yeah tell that to the Android users, you cannot select codec from the control app and bluetooth is unstable, hardly user error.

Their representative on this forum constantly told us lies. Let's ask him why he lied to us all about the end of January!
That's not how development works. If there are new issue arising then the release is postponed in order to have a stable release. 1.0.7 is stable on the iPhone (what for this device is meant for anyway). It's very easy to get native aptx HD or LDAC support outside of Apple's ecosystem so why would anyone bother with a dongle? The only reason is that people use Droids without any high res codec support... and that shows what kind of a device the BT11 is not stable on... sorry to bring it to you his way. It works on iOS. It was probably a mistake to advertise is for Android, for 100 different kind of devices.

You're only talking about the end of January because you haven't read this forum. Just try reading FiiO Willson's post from January 21 where he talks about the problems and the decision to delay the release of the FW update.

Because some of us Android users wanted to try the relatively new Aptx lossless codec with FiiO's own BTR17 which supports this codec, most Android phones do not have this codec yet. Once again the BT11 is not stable on this peasants Samsung S23+ hardly a cheap Android device. Bottom line the BT11 is not stable and has issues period! Typical iPhone user comment!

Well, the company stated it had been meant for the iPhone, so that's just an echo of that. It's easy to understand why it won't work right in 1000 different scenarios. Yeah, I know it's not right to say it will. However they also stated that most mishaps are user error. I'm just curious what's not and how it is not working?

At the risk of repeating myself the Bluetooth connection is not stable not even from 1 metre away. Also the control app does not allow the user to select which codec he wishes to use. Even if you deselect every codec except the one you want to use you still can't force it to change codec.
I think what you fail to see is that FiiO as a company has a track record of producing great hardware but their software/firmware has always been bad and frankly it has actually been getting worse lately, this is just one example there are plenty of others, don't get me started on the S15 streamer which is also a software/firmware mess.

Revolutionary hardware is buggy. LDAC itself is not very stable at distance. I dont know about AptX lossless, but at 1200 bps Bluetooth is probably already an afterthought. (Not that I'd understand why you need Bluetooth at home for a stationary device, but that's another story entirely). It works on close proximity and clear sight. Anyway. I suggest you return it if it's not working for you or just give it to someone with an iphone and forget about it... It's 40 bucks, jeeez... Or wait until it's ready for Android if ever... (I know I'm not and it's been a long time already 😅).

Don't talk nonsense about your iPhones! BT11 was announced as an addition to BTR17, only because of this BT11 was purchased to work in tandem with BTR17! It was also stated to work with Windows. The Aptx Lossless codec needed to work with both Android and Windows!

May be that's why you can update the firmware only on iOS.... Whatever...

Вот вам и Android, вот вам и Windows! Поддержка заявлена, но условия не выполнены!
