[FIIO BT11] Portable High-Res Bluetooth Transmitter Is Officially Released!

I received Fiio BT11 adapter.

The only positive thing is that the device itself looks great. However, there are continuous issues.

I connected the device to my Android phone (Huawei Mate 20) and the pairing indicator started flashing. I took the Mifo Hifidots TWS out of their case and after about a minute, they recognized each other and paired. The indicator turned green, indicating that the connection had been established via aptX Adaptive/lossless.
I tested the sound and it sounded good, but there were some crackles.

Then, I opened Fiio Control app and it didn't recognize the device at all. I checked the version and it was 3.29, which is the latest version.
Okay, so I decided to try connecting to a computer with Windows 10. Immediately, the headphones connected to the adapter but through the SBC codec (the lowest quality and most unsuitable codec!).

When I switched back to the phone, the connection reverted to the SBC codec.
And, since Fiio Control application does not recognize this adapter, there is no way to change this.

I connected Fiio BT11 to my tablet (Lenovo Legion Y700 2023) and the connection with my Mifo HiFi headphones was established via aptX Adaptive / lossless once more. The sound was normal and there was no crackling.

After turning on the Fiio Control app, the image from the Fiio BT11 appears. However, when I try to click on it, I receive a message saying "connection failed."

This also happens with my Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 Pro TWS. These headphones work perfectly with Fiio BT11 and connected via LDAC (the indicator light is on in pale green). The sound is good, but there is no way to access the settings again.

When I connect the adapter to my computer (Windows 10), the connection still works through LDAC, which is one of the only positive aspects.
And the sound quality is also quite good.

To summarize: I can still use this adapter, but I can't configure it (at least choose the codec).

The connection process is quite complicated: you need to turn off Bluetooth on the phone, connect BT11 adapter, run Fiio Control application, and then turn Bluetooth back on. After that, BT11 device should appear in the app...
(I've tried other options, but they didn't work.)

Another downside is that with this adapter, you get two separate volume controls - for the headphones and for the system. It's not possible to make a single volume control, either. I didn't find that option.

And finally, the "icing on the cake": it's currently only possible to update the adapter firmware through an iPhone. For Android users, the manufacturer promises this will be available "in a few months."

In general, this is a very crude device. It is difficult to understand how a well-known manufacturer could have released it in this state for sale.

I get the feeling from reading various messages that this is not very good if you have an android device. Has anyone purchased the new Creative bt w6? I wonder how this transmitter compares to the FiiO BT11.

I haven't tried W6 yet, but I'm actively using W4 and W5. They differ from the W6 only by the presence of aptX lossless.
Excellent devices that work exactly as they should. A huge plus is that they have a great software shell for Win 10.

But these devices do not have LDAC support.

I received BT11 and unfortunately it does not meet my expectations: everything works great, but there is too much delay between the Playstation 5 and my DAP.

If anyone in the EU would like to buy it, please PM me. I paid 50€ and would only ask for that + shipping, otherwise I'll just send it back for a refund.

I happened to lose my BT11 when I was @ work yesterday. Fell out of my coat pocket & spent a couple hours looking for it. I ended up ordering a BT-W6.

Ok I managed to connect somehow by shutting Bluetooth off before starting the FiiO Connect App. But the BT11 seems still to be a buggy Device, hopefully there will be Firmware Updates in the Future.

Has anyone been able to verify LDAC 900/990 with the BT11? My Q5K only reaches 660 even when placed right next to the BT11...

Bumdeal

No as the Android App is bare and has little to no settings to view or change.

Yeah, the Q5K is the only device that I own that reveals the actual bitrate (using the Chrome extension), so I can't double-check with another device.

Has anyone gotten LDAC to work with FW5 on an iPhone 16 Pro Max via Apple Music? The best I can get is a green light. (aptX Adaptive/Lossless) I can't get the white light to verify LDAC is enabled. The FW5 is on firmware 1.60, and BT11 is 1.07. I have enabled LDAC on both the FW5 by temporarily connecting directly to iPhone, and I have enabled LDAC on the BT11. I have also tried enabling only LDAC in the BT11, when I do that, it connects blue light. (SBC)

EDIT: No sooner that I post this I solved my issue. It double checked the FW5 and found LDAC wasn't enabled anymore. I enabled and all is good. Sounds great!

The white light is actually light blue on mine. I have gotten LDAC from my BT11 to my FW5 on my iPhone 15 Pro, but it took several tries to pair and connect (and actually play music). I did verify the light blue light on my Q5K, where I can check the codec with the Chrome extension.
