I've understand a year ago from you that only mid-range DAP's have production issues - not convenient to make them anymore.
But you have now in your offer only expensive products, that I will never buy. I'll never go to the beach with a >100 USD DAP.
I intended to buy an M3 Pro. Cannot find it anymore.

2. Low-end player: Current players including the M3K, M5 M6 will continue the production based on the sales condition. But the production will be suspended once the market demands are too small to organize production. The M3Pro, M7, and M9 have also been stopped for this reason.



3. Entry-level players have been affected by little tail amps and Bluetooth DAC/Amps. In addition, it has low margins, esp. in recent years with the cost of chips rising greatly, some of which even multiplied several times. So there are neither good sales volumes nor profits.

The truth is, there really isn't that much of a demand these days for this type of player. A quick look at Amazon's US website only lists about 2 dozen unique DAP's that are rated 3 stars and up with a price under $100US and they all have limited storage and require direct transfer of music from PC to device and support limited music formats.

My guess is that you take your cell phone to the beach (which can play music BTW) and it costs >$100US. With the advances in headphones, IEM's, music streaming quality, etc. most people see no need for and really aren't interested in cheap players. They want WIFI connectivity, HQ Bluetooth, long battery life, etc. and those capabilities don't transfer to a cheap player. Even Apple has stopped manufacture of the iPod (which admittedly was above your cost threshold) and they dominated the music player for the masses category for years.

I still have an iPod that I take to the beach, camping, etc. that I link to an external speaker and when that dies I will simply keep an old cell phone with a healthy amount of storage to use as my "inexpensive" player. That being said, if you do find a highly capable DAP in your price range, please share what you find...

I had before the first M3 which I was taking on the beach. Bad display, but good sound.
I never take my phone. Would disappear instantly.
But I found the M3Pro on Amazon UK with 82 pounds - someone still had it in stock - already ordered.
And I intent to buy also something more cheap, no-name.

Just got yesterday my M3Pro. Got lucky, as next days all were sold.
Excelent player. Pitty that due to global chip shortage they are no longer in production. Very few flaws, like weird custom EQ - missing frequencies between 4 and 14 kHz - exactly where their IEM's have treble issues ( too much ).

Just hope that a some point when the chip shortage will end Fiio will make again low and mid-range player.
I don't see myself buying anithing from the current range of hi-end players, ever.
For that money I get a dedicated standalone DAC with better sound.
