Noticed HiFigo is offering pre ordering at $1999 whilst fiio state a price of $1799. Anyone pressed the button yet?
In addition, I've held off from buying one to see more comments from members regarding the released build details. Those RGB lights... really?.... they don't automatically change according to the sample rates played like A&K... they are just .... lights... mood lights at that... and as they are just... lights.... I hope they have an option to turn off completely as this will save power and also any possible electrical interference as I'm familiar with this on full size audio equipment when displays are turned off the music is not disturbed by interference. I take it the batteries are not easily or conveniently replaceable? The images show a cage like case fitting over the rear... is this easily removable to gain access?

You could set its colour to change according to the sampling rate in the M17 as well. And yes, the light could be turned off.

What‘s the max temperature the unit is clocking in? Can you safely (temperature wise) run the player on a stand without the fan?

Has anyone purchased a DAP from the Fiio EU offices which sends DAPS from Bulgaria to the United Kingdom? Have you encountered any additional costs such as VAT &/or import fees?

I bought my M11 Plus from HiFiGo, got it pretty quickly in a week or so to the UK. They cover the import fees if Yunexpress shipping is chosen.

With exceptional audio quality comes large power consumption, so effective heat dissipation was a large focus when designing the M17. Not only are "H" type heat dissipation and VC liquid cooling technologies adopted, the M17's 151g unibody aluminum alloy frame also effectively transfers heat out of the device. Finally, the cooling fan stand also further makes sure heat is rapidly transported away.
Genreally, the fan is not needed.
And the sound of the fan is not noticeable in level 1.
