FIDUE A83 impressions and discussion thread

I am still struggling. I cannot make a seal with my ear canal. I have used Logitech A600 and RHA 750 as an interim solution. They fill the "outer inner ear" but it's not the inner ear seal that comes so easily with many gems like the GR07.

The Sony hybrid were recommended. I hope I get lucky s these are as fine as it gets for this newbie.

I'm using Comply T400 and they work great. The Spiral dots worked for me too but I don't care for the sound as much, Be patient it took me awhile to get these where I liked them. Compared to a week ago these have become real easy to deal with and it's worth the struggle.

I found Sony Hybrid tips on Amazon and I actually got a seal. Not a "suction" type of seal which I don't even know if that is such a great fit, but a  'light seal" - a seal none the less. Not sur if i'd be more comfortable with foam but I'm going to give these a try for a few days,

I searched the thread but can't seem to find a solid, "this cable works with the A83". I have the version with the chin slider, any for sure replacement cable?

I used this for a sec to test my A83 (chin slider version) when I had a connector issue:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/C0-1-2m-270-net-Shield-Cable-For-Shure-Ultimate-Ears-UE900-SE535-SE846-Earphone-/261798838271?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf46d3fff
It fit and I got sound from the working earbud, but it really was the female connector on my other earbud that wasn't working, seems like my stock cable was fine. You can try this cable, it's cheap, but it does take a while to ship since it's from China.

  Thanks, I appreciate it.

Any cable that will work with a Shure, (New) Westone, or any other MMCX (micro coax) cable will work just fine with the Fidue. The only ones that may not work are the ones from sony, which also have an implementation to eliminate rotating, but it may be of a different design. Other than that, any cable with MMCX terminations will work with the Fidues just fine.

I went ahead and ordered these. Shure EAC64BK 64 -Inch Detachable Earphone Cable for SE215, SE315, SE425 and SE535 Earphones (Black)

The memory wire is driving me crazy on the ones Fidue included.

KC33, I would be careful about the cable. I bought the ue900 MMCX cable thinking it would be compatible but it isn't. The a83 connectors seem to have changed in the latest batches. The Shure doesn't work either.

Also, UE900 tips are too small to go over the a83 bore. Tried them. Waiting for the spiral dots now.

Aurum. I put my UE900 tips on my A83, and they fit quite well without difficulty. They sound a little better as well!
