Melz 1578 are amazing in Envy. I never had them when I had Euforia AE. Please share your impressions, when you have them.
Lots of those tubes have noise due to poor soldering in the pins. If so, there are videos in the Envy thread on how to fix this.

Just to double check something (yes I know I am dumb) this crossfeed position means off right?
Have tried it in a couple of songs and with a couple of headphones and I don't seem to like it on the top position with any headphones so far
just got the amp so a bit confused ^^"

Those are not 1578's, btw. Those are 6N8S, a cousin to the beloved Melz 1578. Sounds good, but it's not the true 1578 sound.New lamps for the collection

nope it's off in that position (og euforia, not the evo or the AE), just unplugged my left side of my headphone and tested it that way. If the switch is pushed on the "1" side the left channel also comes out of the right channel. Should have done this earlier lol...But yeah I feel like an idiot for asking it
on topic: I should have gotten the euforia instead of the elise ...This amp synergy is way better with the atrium and the HD6XX than the elise imo.

will the sound of euforia be duller, closed and quieter for you too, if you turn on the cross feed?

on the Og Euforia it is so the case for me over headphones but you get used to it.
But that's probably also because the stereo output is designed differently than over headphones.
For me, crossfeed off is better than on, even via the stereo system when I use the preamp output on the Euforia too the stereo system.
In this report they go into more detail about crossfeed.
That you should rather turn it on for old songs from the 60-70s, because the recordings were different than in the 80-90s.

Definitely, in my case soundstage collapses and the amp sounds darker in the treble region

Looks like he has the older version 1956 and older with solid plates. Made for russian marine if there is a round stamp on the glass.
Did you hear a "1578" and 6h8s to be different?
