Emmy Squared Pizza

Emmy Squared Pizza is a high end upscale pizza restaurant that specializes in Detroit style pizza and high end burgers. The restaurant actually started in Brooklyn New York and developed a “cult like” following fan base. I could be wrong but I think the restaurant got bought by a corporation in Nashville Tennessee and now there are over 25 locations across the USA.

This particular pizza is the vodka sauce version and the flavor is excellent with a strong umami like characteristic that you usually don’t find in other pizzas.



While the pizza is classified as Detroit style I feel that it has been New York styled where the flavor is kicked up a few levels and basically an improvement of this style of pizza. Thumbs up

This was the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. It was from a shop that serves French style pastries. This cinnamon roll was basically like a French version and much better than the typical version



Perfect Italian chocolate gelato

This chocolate gelato was from an Italian style coffee shop and well made. It’s like ice cream but taken to a more refined higher level.

I am a pizza freak. I can't remember the last time I went more than two weeks without a pizza.
I prefer my own barbecued burgers and Chinese food, fish and chips and donairs are an occasional treat.

Variety in my Junkfood diet consists of:
Pepperoni pizza, pizza with the works, meat lovers pizza, donair pizza, etc.

Speaking of health and junk food I had a “healthy” version of junk food today for lunch.

It’s the California Club pizza from California Pizza Kitchen (chain restaurant)

It’s white pizza topped with applewood bacon and grilled chicken. After it’s cooked mayonnaise, fresh lettuce, arugula, tomatoes and avocado are added.



This was outstanding and I’m kind of blown away how good it was. One interesting revelation about this dish is that mayonnaise can actually work well on pizza.
