I can't understand why Wendy's is considered to have good burgers. Baconator is disgusting IMO. I think In-N-Out is ok. They have crap ton of salt in their cheese for some reason.

Burger week, so did some burger gorging this weak, and my burger rankings:

Five Guys (luv the home made burger taste, nobody makes better patties, you unwrap that foil and it's smushed ugly goodness, it's the taste that counts)
Shake Shack (pretty good level of salt, their patty is probably cooked better than Five guy, but I don't like their buns, too bready)

Shake Shack (pretty good level of salt, their patty cooked extremely precisely with better flavoring than Five Guys)
Five Guys (luv the home made burger taste, good patties, you unwrap that foil and it's smushed ugly goodness, it's the taste that counts)
Whataburger (too salty)
Smashburger (decent, hit or miss)
Habit Burger (decent, hit or miss)
In-and Out (I can't eat this a lot, maybe once every half year, something off putting about how they put cheese and the kind of cheese, and too salty.)
Carl's Jr (this is the point when patties starts to go down hill)
Wendy's
Burger King
McDonald's

Fries ranking:

McDonald's
Chic-Fil-A waffle
....
In-N-Out (tastes like cardboard, although probably the most authentically made, only with peeled potatos, no additives)

I raised Shake Shack over Five Guys after recent visit. I tried their best two burgers and the flavor was great! The patty was cooked so well. I prefer swiss cheese over the sour American that tastes too salty.

I tried the Black Truffle Burger and the Shack Stack. Tastes better than the Shack Burger.

they have a great standard in how they cook their patties. Perfectly cooked patties. They flavor the burger really nicely. Which is what I hate about In-N-Out, the flavoring sucks since the salty/sour cheese just overtakes the flavoring.

Indian paneer cheese sandwich

I’m not sure if this is exactly junk food but it does have a junk food vibe.

This cheese sandwich from a restaurant specializing in Indian sandwiches is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It’s an Indian cheese served with Indian spices and served on a flat bread.

This sandwich was excellent and it actually inspires me to visit my local Indian supermarket to buy some paneer cheese to experiment in other dishes. It’s a very good cheese and I feel that it is underrated in some ways

Edit:

I forgot to include the Indian beer that i drank with it. It was excellent

Korean egg toast (ham and cheese version)

Korean toast has been rising in popularity and this was an excellent version.

The bread was thick and appeared to be maybe some kind of special milk bread. The egg was excellent and was similar to a Japanese style omelette where it was very soft and slightly runny but not overly messy. And there was some type of reddish mayonnaise sauce inside

This kind of reminded me of an egg toast sandwich that you may find at an American diner but taken to a higher level and much better. The quality of the bread is an improvement over your average American bread. And the attention to detail on the eggs is impressive. It’s the perfect texture.

For more information, there’s a bunch of videos on Korean toast on YouTube

Trader Joe’s instant noodles (sesame sauce version)

Trader Joe’s is a popular American supermarket where many of their products get featured on social media. So far these spicy sauce sesame noodles are the best version of American instant noodles I’ve ever had and they are very good.

It’s not a noodle soup but rather an Asian style noodle dish that tastes like an Asian peanut sauce with noodles. So you have to drain the water after cooking the noodles and mix the sauce packets.

Here I garnished it with chopped chives from the garden. If the noodles end up too dry and sticky just add a little bit of the pasta/noodle water to lubricate it.

Don’t know how long they will still maintain this version in stock but I would get it in case if they change to a different version maybe.

Deep Fried Twinkies

Twinkies are probably the most iconic and quintessential junk food in American food culture. Many consider it the most garbage food in the context of health
So deep frying it pushes it up another notch on the junk food level.

How did it taste?

Surprisingly very good. It reminds me a donut hot out of the fryer. And to the point that it actually tastes better than the average donut. Your mileage may vary depending on what batter is used

Deep fried Oreo cookies

I’ve always liked fried Oreo cookies but like the fried Twinkies, it really depends on what batter is used

One last observation : Deep fried Twinkies and Oreo cookies are an American food but typically not easy to find and I feel that most Americans have never tried these fried versions. Those items are good but your mileage may vary since the batter is important

Bonus junk food: Japanese version of Oreo cookies.
In the photo below is a small box of Japanese Oreo cookies that I found in a Japanese store. It’s actually very good. And I think I like it better than the American version
