No need as it will be some cheapo generic undersized driver in some cheap hollow wood with shellac thrown on & blurry lettering with cheapo plastic everything else so guarantee to sound like some fake beats on wood and same applies to the fostex so think of a blurry mess and thats what U have.
This of course is all educated guess/speculation.
Hey maybe good for a laugh to take and drop on floor in front of your friends :)

You would be surprised, and others might laugh [thinking 'I thought it might be so'] but there are claims that the fakes sound better than the originals. Apparently the sound is more balanced, the bass is more controlled, not so muddy and the overall sound is more clear [..what does it say about the Beats headphones when the chinese fakes beat them ?]

The situation is complicated by the fact that there are at least two chinese manufacturers of fake Beats, there are at least two kinds of fake Beats. Or even three. The cheaper ones with the worse quality are selling for about 20 to 50 dollars and the more expensive and better ones are selling for about 80 to 130 dollars.

Haha thats true! Fake beats do sound better than the real ones hahaha
Proves what a POS the real ones are!

Anyway as for the w3000anv &;even the fostex th900 it would not be easy to replicate the super nice finish on them..

They are simply going to take your money and run. No such thing as fake W3000anv, too much effort for the petty criminal to replicate such an item.

You do not have a good understanding of the business of counterfeiting in China. We are not dealing with a petty criminal but with a state industrial enterprises who have at their disposal and call tens of millions of unemployed or underemployed skilled craftsmen, who by the way are the inheritors of a few thousands of years of skills of varnishing wood. And they can be had not for dollars but for cents per hour. These state owned and privately run enterprises can and will counterfeit virtually anything. How successful they became is illustrated by the fact that even the most modern U.S. military airplanes are now riddled with the Chinese fake electronic parts.

A petty criminal will always remain a petty criminal, no matter their size. Emulating the W3000anv design is going to take a lot more investment than it is worth for them.

It has already been done with the esw10 wich has very similar wood so it probably has been done regardless if there is big profit or not!(!)
Look at all the fake ones out already like "beats" so they have capability to do anything rather easily(!)

What a load of rubbish. The only reason the Beats are cloned a lot is because they are Made in China in the first place, it does't take an army of people to sneak out of the factory with an OEM/prototype design and reproduce illegally in another factory especially it is completely made of plastic. Let me say it again, there are no fake ANV3000's, the tools, materials and expertise to produce them will be through the roof, not to mention every pair of ANV3000 is serialised you can easily verify it with AT themselves. Just because a webpage looks suspicious doesn't automatically mean the website company is supplying fakes. It's called phishing and the Kaminisky attack in regards to internet security, websites that look the real deal which are not and are there to steal your Paypal, CC and bank details.

DefQon is right on the money. Just entering the website is all they want you to do, and if you are under-protected (no firewall, etc) you will get a nasty infection that will exploit your computer and steal your personal information.

The fake ESW10s I remember seeing pictures of all had plastic cups covered with a wood-look laminate.

But the issue is very serious. There was an $11b NEC industry in China, with factories making products and an entire company structure, everyone in which believed they were genuinely working for NEC, but the ENTIRE THING was counterfeit. That's not a typo: $11b.

NEC has a huge demand and the common consumer would buy their stuff. W3000anv on the other hand, the 2000 authentic units weren't sold out until a year or so which indicates little demand and counterfeiting such a product is just not profitable enough.
