So uh, maybe these are just a different model, or the way the picture was taken but they look very different, and they both have the "ATH-A700" on them. Maybe someone can clear this up for me?

I figure they must be different in some way because the price is ~$10 - $20 difference...

They are the same. I believe the black one is a limited edition? But yeah, definitely the same. The listing prices are different by about $10, but the original listing price of $299 is the same for both.
