I have an Apple dongle as well as a Shanling UA3 and a Shanling UA5 dongle. The UA3 can be found for about £120 and I think the lovely velvety AKM based UA3 pairs very well with the IE600
I'm going to get a new cable. Boring old question but here it is, . Will I be feeling FOMO is I don't get pentaconn balanced ,, especially if I get a dongle with balanced?.. thanks.
I think you probably would suffer a little dose of FOMO if you didn’t get the balanced connector.
I generally get my more expensive cables with a balanced connector because I want to get the most out of my gear.
You can get some reasonably priced Tripowin cables with modular connectors, so I guess you could test it out for yourself to see if you thought it was worth it or not.

Ive just ordered Quedelix 5k from Drop and the balanced is 2.5mm. ***. So when I order new cables for my IE600 , get them with 2.5 or 3.5mm.?.. ha jeez.. is 2.5 as good as 4.4?.. I can always cancel. Thanks

Balanced is balanced, I think they started using 4.4 a bit more because it is a stronger jack and less susceptible to damage.
Have a look on Amazon for the Tripowin Noire cable, it has 2.5, 3.5 & 4.4mm jacks. I bought that cable, I also bought some adapters to make sure I could use it with the IE600. Search for this and you should find the adapters

Cheap stuff might not last tho. I've lost confidence since trying one. Started out OK, but it went wrong 3 months in. So waste of money in the end.. That 75bucks one tho... that's looking like the real ticket. Not cheap. But it's not 150bucks is it?.. or 250!
I haven’t tried any Null Audio cables but I’ve read in this thread that some people like them.
My main cable for my IE600 is this one from Toxic Cables I keep meaning to write a review of this cable and post some photos here, but I see everyone else photos here and realise that I am rubbish at taking photos

I've read this in the last hour of frantic research after I realised the pic I saw of the Quedelix wasn't a big hole 4.4 small hole 3.5 but big hole 3.5 , small hole 2.5!.. there are the multi adaptor end cables tho.. but if I get a dedicated end cable I'll.probably just go 3.5mm... Bit pissed off because of the supplied Sennheiser 4.4 cable that will just lie there still again for another few years.. jeez Quedlix.. 2.5
. Really!?
