PW Audio cables work well with the IE series of IEMs. (I bought their Moloch cable for my IE600.) They have a secure fit that doesn’t rotate easily. I had occasional problems with one side cutting out with the stock cable but have had zero problems since getting the Moloch.

I've been doing a lot of research into what could be a potential upgrade from the IE-600 and it doesn't seem an easy task, everything under 1k seems to be a side grade/tuning preference rather than a flat out upgrade, I don't have much experience over the kilobuck threshold, what IEM(s) could you comfortably say are a big upgrade over the IE-600 or has this IEM really hitting the upper hemisphere in terms of performance?

Technically it will be a difficult task. The ie600 are very capable when it comes to detail, separation and timbre. They compete with the ie900 so the ie600 are still as good as most iems under 1500 bucks.
When it comes to the tuning, you can find more neutrally tuned iems under 200 bucks.

These days you can get pretty good deals on most IEMs on classified ... UM Maven, Symphonium Crimson and Trio might be good options to consider...

Started out small maybe in one side, took 5 months to get to now,, I can't wear a hood over them without them cutting in and out with every step. Not good for winter it turns out.
