Eversolo DMP-A6 Network Streamer/DAC

On theWould like to see more dedicated streamer/digital players only. Lots of people already have their own external DAC and only want a higher quality source feeding the DAC.

Maybe a A9 one day

Really? I thought if there were any difference it would bread-in after an hour, and no longer. And yes I do believe in break-in as well, but not I did not thing it took too long on source devices compares to headphones or speakers.

Can you elaborate what on what you on the A6?

That is what I thought too, but can't see a headphone out.

Yeah, whats the deal with not adding headphone outs on their devices. The previous dacs with headphone jack they sell is a bit dated now i think. But they never add it to the streamers or new products. Would be nice to have, like some of the competitors.

Those generic headphone outs usually don't sound too good. I think that's why manufacturers don't bother: most people will use external amplifiers. This EverSolo Play should be a streamer only, but the 'Amp' in the name is confusing. Is it a 3-in-1 streamer/DAC/amp or just a streamer? If it is just a streamer, the 'amp' in the name is confusing.

EverSolo has been bombarded with requests for a streamer only device. If this is it, they should make it obvious. Also, knowing the price would be helpful.
Is this 'Play' better for streaming than the og A6 with LPS upgrade? The difference is probably not huge, but price can still influence decisions. I guess, we will know more soon.

I agree, its a bit confusing. The "Play" may be for the weird CD player on the side? strange design choice would have preferred the CD on the top.

To my understanding there is a standard 'Play' model without the CD player and a special edition with the CD player, also called 'Play'.

Come across Luxsin X9 amp/dac seems like it's made by a sister company of Eversolo.
