Alright, so T8 won't be available until the end of the year and we don't know the price yet. I wonder, how much of a difference the femto clock will make. The Play is priced quite reasonably.

Not only that! Some of us got already equipped with DDC, etc. Me, very happy with uDDC from LAiV - can use old coax output dacs, can use USB, and even IIS both in and out. There is a certain road to be covered when you are setting the perfect set-up for your phones or a room (when speakers) but constantly going up the price level is a very oprimistic strategy. I am ready to pay price b/n A6 and A6 Master only for streamer but it should be better than A6 Master.

I'm aligning more with your speculative price. Chassis isn't even as huge as the A8 but no way this would even cost near the A8. Could be at the same price as A6 Gen 2. No claim of any OXCO clocks and no claim of triple toroidals for the motherboard, clocks and the digital outpus SFP is a nice touch though for total isolation from router. This time, you're forced to get wired streaming since it does not have WiFi antennas on the back as far as I can see

This is where my mind went as well. Let's assume the "8" follows the current 6/8/10 levels, then this will be the mid-tier streamer/transport brought to the market. My gut is $1k-$1.3k. Basically, slots between the pricing for the A6 and A8.

That's the million dollar question. I guess, we need to wait for the answer until at least the end of 2025.

Would it make sense for the T8 to be priced higher than the A6? The A6 also includes a streamer. A streamer is simply a digital source, It only sends a binary signal. It wouldn't make sense to buy a T8 before an A6.

Fair point! But my case is specific - need USB input for the A6, need IIS input for the Shanling ET3, Coax for third device. The TT2 I feed from HQPlayer thru a SRC-DX double BNC with filters.

Yeah, i noticed that too. It really should have came with the Gen 2 Master.

Why would you need the remote? It is nice but when I used it with the a8, it was maybe 2, 3 times at best. But if you really want it, I think it is cheap to order seperately

Why remote - extremely easy to skip songs, switch on and off without getting a phone, unlocking, ....

Exactly what Gomez said, to carry out simple tasks, and not not need a Tablet / Phone. Plus it is pretty sleek

Premium line, premium price? Obviously my speculation was based on AMP-F10 price level (which I find very high... crazy high...). But as mentioned, maybe the T8 could be cheaper in the end. And there will be T10 announced later on, which would fit into the "10s" line.

Anyone using the Apple Music app? I am missing a couple of my stations on there, most importantly, the one I use the most; Discovery station. It shows up on my iPhone and my Windows machine, but not on the A6.
