Is either better than the other? If there really are less microphonics on the MC5 I might get that.

You mean both for $79? Or both for $49? Very confusing.
 
I find the MC5s to be superior to the er6i. Others might disagree. There are threads discussing the differences.

The site I was looking at was very strange and had the MC5s priced higher, but amazon has them at the same price. Sorry about the confusion.

Yeah, Amazon has them at the MSRP, and the er6i a little cheaper. But you can pick up a used er6i for $40 or so. That's what I sold mine for.
