My girlfriends dog made some nice bite marks on my ESW9s.  They still work fine but the nice look they once had now seems a little cheap.  Is there any way to replace the wooden cups?  If not is anyone out there looking for a nice sounding, unique looking set of phones?

OK change of topic a bit.  Does anyone know if adding a thin layer of lacquer or stain would significantly change the sound signature of the headphones?  The little pup died last night so I wouldn't feel right making the gf pay for new parts now.  

  And no I wasn't that upset.

A housemate left a bottle of NoDoz (caffeine pills) on the coffee table.  Apparently 2-3 pills are lethal for a small dog and she had way more than that. It was terrible.  
 
Anyway I'll post results of staining if I do it.

I think the wood is very difficult to replace without buying a new pair. The wood seems to be one of the main reasons why it has such a high price tag

If you're handy you could always sand down the lacquer and redo it yourself, though the value of the phone may drop.
