@mulveling
Probably I have it 😀
And wait a minute, you have a L5000? I hope you like it. It's great.20220720_114328.jpg
The L5000 are not mine - they are on generous loan. I do like them! Very fun headphones. Technically, much about it is superior to the L3000. But I still find the L3000 so damn charming and beguiling even after all these years - they distort beautifully.

Cool. Been thinking about a different cable, though honestly I don't have a lot of issues with the OEM one, except that it doesn't really straighten out and my OCD kicks in when I see the rectangular connectors not lining up perfectly!

Your wooden cups look really glossy. Is that just the light reflection or did you apply something? They look great.

One of the connector (stock) is starting to get that free movement, while tightening them....and was a lame reason to convince myself that i needed the Hart Whiteout 😂
The gloss is mainly the light. Haven't used anything yet to start taking care of the cups n pads....should do this too.

I am sorry if I missed it and have been looking, but is there a comparison of the ES R10 to the MDR R10 (in good shape). And noting that there are R10 Sony, that sound different from each other.

I am hoping to get up to Ray's in a couple of weeks and bring my ES R-10 so he can compare it against his R-10 on his B-52.
That will be great!

Do you have any impressions of the ES R10?

Here you have :slight_smile: No, sorry, you have said R10 (the original one). I think there were briefly comparisons and references in this thread, but not like the one I linked.

Anyway, in the first page of this thread, you will find those briefly comparisons I mentioned and other comparing these headphones with other well known headphones.

More power to you brother. I listen to more acoustics, jazz, vocal, pop, classical, and some classic rock and the OG R10 is definitely my cup of tea.
Can you define why?

What is the connector used to the headphones. I have read on the ES site but it isn't clear. Do other headphones use the same connector?

It the same connector that hifi man used in the older 400 and 500 Serie planar SMC connectors.

Oh, that is too bad. Can't imagine why they went with that.
