I say this a bit tongue and cheek - I'm reading this great feedback on the R10 replica and the only website referenced is Vesper for ear pads. Nobody thinks to include the website for ES Labs where these things can be ordered? Certainly, if people (other than HK) knew where to order from it might help sales.

I'm usually pretty good at searching the web but the only site I found was the HK site. I am in the US. Is there a URL I can order from that presents the price in US dollars?

Also, please do not take offense to my attitude. My criticism was meant to be light-hearted.

There is only the HK site. Xe.com will give you an idea of how much US it would be.

So I try to take the earpads off... Is it glue? I notice as I was slowly removing them I noticed I was about to rip the inside?

Is it glue or Velcro? are the earpads nicely sticking back on afterwards?

The shiny part is what the glue sticks too. (I think… But didn’t experience any issues sticking the pads back on)

I know the OG used a copper cable. However- the ES-R10 with Silver cable VASTLY improves the Treble and soundstage.

To all ES-R10 lovers- spend a few hundred dollars on a silver OCC litz cable. The improvement is stunning.

I kind of like it as it is. A bright amplifier can fix whatever issue people having. I'm not having none yet

The ES-Omega can be order with a silver cable that makes it like a 009, but I decided on the copper cable. My pair is a blend of MK1 and 009S. Probably the silver cable makes it close to Omega 1993 and 009.

Yeah, ES-Lab has done a fantastic job. Im really enjoying their products so far. I might be like you, if in 6 months and I'm still happy with the R10, I'm buying probably another 2 more

ES-Lab should really capitalize this DIY space. This will be a brilliant move if he dose!

well, i ordered it but took the cheaper shipping method so I assume the wait will be awhile. i have many flagships and look forward to posting some impressions after i receive the unit. Right now, my favorite headphone is the Final Audio D8000 Pro. I am not expecting the R10 replica to match in technicalities, but i am looking forward to an engaging sound with reasonably good resolution, neutral to bright balance, but natural with good tone, timbre and sense of realism. Based upon the limited descriptions i have read, it sounds like it may align with my tastes. I also like neutral to forward mids/vocals as opposed to recessed, but I hope it does not have unnatural warmth in vocals like many audiophile headphones have when they boost lower midrange frequencies. Don't get me wrong, I like full bodied, rich sound - i just don't like it overblown

Can someone confirm that the ESL R10 does in fact use the original Hifiman SMC connector type? I'm looking to re-terminate my Audio Sensibility cable if so. Thanks.

yes it does. I’m using same cables on my HE6 as the R10
