C3g can work on 200V and current is not too much. if you may have an adapter, you can try... should be no harm...

1635 cannot plug into 6SN7 tube socket directly. : ((

1635 is with a common cathode. a bit hard to use this tube as two triodes for two channels.

Ok, Eric has kind of given me the green light to use EL11 as power tubes in Ultimate.

This is what he said.

EL11 and EL12 are the same pin layout. If one can use EL34 adapter, the other can use also.

Luckily for Matt, no ground loop or hum for either of his Tube amp i have had issues with group loop when using La Figaro but with Eric's amp never had the issue...

To my utter astonishment, the sound is very GOOD. Unbelievable !

No wonder these guys say that EL11 amps sound very good.
At the same time , my best friend built a similar amp with EL 11 , and we both found the EL 11 sounded better .

Power did not drop when going from EL12 to EL11. In fact it is driving Susvara at 11am !!!

I am going to do a happy dance now. Using EL11 in Ultimate is my new flavour now.

You should be able to see Siemens EL11 in the picture.

Or better but a pair of 6M6G which work natively and save money from adapters. IT's EL3N with octal base. Well, if prices are not crazy as they usually are for these. Don't forget also about EL37. That one has to work natively and sound nice.

I won't buy EL3N and adapters. I have lots of new EL11. I will just use those. I can't chase every single tube and variations.

EL3N is a bit warmer and can sound quite nice. EL11 is tighter, leaner.

Basically most pentodes or beam tetrodes can be used as power tubes. If in doubt, please ask. Don't take a chance.
