Here's some well-intentioned advice from me.
As Ultimate is also extensive.
For driver tubes, stick to what is common and no adapters are needed.
The only adapter you should use is the 12xx7 to 6sn7, because you can use 12au/ax/At7.
With this and 6SN7/6SL7 and additional 6J5 you are well set up for now.
I would ignore everything on the list that works as a driver tube with adapters for the first few months until Ultimate is installed and you are familiar with it.

This is not a bad suggestion but if you already have both tubes and adapters it can be difficult to follow. But you don't need to buy a lot of tubes in advance if you don't have them already.

Guys you’re not paying attention when I rolled 6v6 tubes.

You can certainly use 6v6 metal as power tubes and and as driver tubes with 6v6 to 6J5 adapters.

These work very well as drivers in Super Ultimate. They work well as power tubes with c3g to 6v6 adapters.

I ordered the Super UltimatE and have a pair of metal 6v6, just want to make sure that i can use them or not. Did not see it on Zachi list, but i will check with Eric when i receive the amp.

6V6 was already on my list... 2nd row of Power / Output tubes (row 34).

I never heard there was a difference between glass and metal 6v6 tubes (other than the metal cover).
If anyone here is aware of electrical differences - we should look into it...

Lucky that i am retired over 7 years ago and enjoy my music. I can sleep anytime, will roll both tubes and amps when i receive the S UltimatE.

They are like the Thompson twins. No difference. Metal is for metal heads and glass is for glass heads.
