6L6, El34, KT66, KT88 are compatible in Ultimate but not optimized. They still sound good though. Just ask @Leicachamp . He prefers KT66 over 6F6.

6L6 and 6Y6 are quite different tonally. It's like comparing KT66 with 6Y6.

Once you try a GECkt66 you wont be able to go back. Unlike Matt when i get to a certain improvement in sound i rarely feel like to experiment for different sounds. The Kt66 was that good last night, that i have stopped any desire to tube roll the power tubes.

I will roll back the 6F6 back in a couple of weeks to properly burn it in. It only had about 20-30 hrs on them. But at the moment the KT66 reigns supreme!

I do have pair of Fotons coming. But if they are not on par with KT66 then they prob stay in the draw.

Having the ability to choose between drivers is my greatest joy in Odyssey. Should have thought about that in Ultimate.

In Odyssey, I have a switch behind to select between the middle double triodes or the 2 x Telefunken EL11 tubes on each side of the double triodes.

I don't know. If I get bored then I might experiment with fuse. I have never roll fuse in any of my tube amps and I hope I don't start now.

For this UltimatE, it can be 1A also OK. for those places that use 240V AC main, For USA users, I recommend to keep it to be 2A.

For Fuse, There are two sizes, We use the smaller size... remember use slow blow type

I haven't tried that brand yet. I tried the telos audio quantum fuse and some fuses from aliexpress.

I really don't want to go down this rabbit hole, they all provided a nice little bump in performance but nothing crazy.

Telos audiophile fuses are Slow Blow, as indicated by the 'T' prefix (eg T6.3A). They are not interchangeable with Fast Blow fuses ('F'prefix).

This is the fuse I used, compared it directly with the stock fuse and that $20 aucharm fuse from aliexpress.
