Okay but maybe you could explain - if you know - why it's so big. I assume there is a reason. BCD? Different from Odyssey? Any ideas?I may be a skeptic… but I doubt someone with multiple decades in the hearing device / IEM industry is going to mass produce something too big to fit in most consumers ears.

Same. Definitely more separated sound wise than a graph suggests.I spent a lot of hours with both Raven and Odyssey and I find this graph really surprising…

12 driver quadbrid, 2 of which are DD and one being a conduction driver, with a large crossover.Okay but maybe you could explain - if you know - why it's so big. I assume there is a reason. BCD? Different from Odyssey? Any ideas?

Me too!! It was a major head scratcher as they don't sound that similar at all.

Thank you for posting the FR!Me too!! It was a major head scratcher as they don't sound that similar at all.
I'll bet the fit mixes things up a lot more in ear than in coupler as in the measurements! Seems like a much bigger boy than Odyssey...
FR wise, it seems like the new enclosure is causing a further reduction in the peak ear gain territory which might have more effect than one would think based just off plotted magnitude.
It's particularly interesting how well they track up high... It seems like the extra double EST driver in the Raven doesn't really change much until >~17k where it is clearly a bit more extended.
I was expecting Raven’s bass level to follow more closely to the Odin.

Raven has more bass quantity.

It’s worth noting that the vast majority of measurement rigs are utterly incapable of measuring the impact the bone conduction drivers have on the sound signature.
It's really great that you are making this effort, thank you!Since we're talking about size, there are some interesting differences in terms of size and shape with Raven and Odin.
I grabbed a bunch of pics of Raven, Odin, Viking Ragnar, and Rn6 (to add a less massive IEM for comparison).
Raven is definitely the biggest overall, but between the angles, stem sizes and body contours, I could see some people finding it more or less comfortable than Odin or Ragnar just based on individual anatomy.
Can you maybe compare the size of Raven and Ronin?
Also, It would be interesting to know how Raven and Mentor differ soundwise. I suppose both would compete with each other.

@stephenkostas,
Sorry for "side-tracking"...
Which amp / energizer are you showing in your pics ?
Does it have a variable BIAS for STAX ?
Thanks & rerdards
Urs
PS:
just my very subjective thoughts: My Full-Custom ODIN is still my best "closed back" replacement (or compliment / ammendement) for a STAX
Could the new RAVEN compete here ??

Hope the fit is similar to when I demo'ed the engineering units at SG canjam. Can't wait to try it.

I have medium size ears and Raven fit just as good as Odin. The shells are big but the area actually going into the ears is just fine for me. Try then if you canI’m excited to hear Raven as I love Odin. But the Odin shells are as big as I can go without pain.
Noble iems such as Ronin and Kublai Khan both caused pain after about 20min of wear and the Raven appears larger than both of those sets.
Those of us with smaller ear anatomy are not going to have an easy time with this wave of huge iems.
