Hello, everyone has anyone tried the odin with the lotoo paw S1? I know it may not compare to other DAPs out there but i was hoping to find a workable solution listening out of my phone

I own both and i like the sound. Only problem with the S1 is the electrical noise...

I just received my Dethonray Honey H1 early this week and I think it pairs very well with Odin. Bass is fantastic and very musical. I prefer it over my Dx200, Dethonray DTR1, Cayin N3pro as well as Fiio M15, A&K Kann alpha and cayin n6ii which I recently auditioned Odin with. Despite the amount of power Honey H1 has to drive full size headphones efficiently, it is dead silent with Odin.

When I want to hear my Odin at its finest, I use my reference gear comprised of a Qutest DAC and a HeadAmp Pico Power. Just an immersive sound that brings me so much pleasure. 😁

Yesterday, for the first time, I used my HiBy R5 dap ($399) with my Odin and was completely taken aback on how good this combo sounded. I was very interested in buying the R8, but when I realized how physically big this dap was, I opted to look for another long-term solution with a much smaller footprint. The new HiBy R6 2020 is now on my radar, but I may decide to go with an AK SA700 due to its small form factor.

anyone tried valkyrie mkII ? how's it compare with the old ver? thanks a lot
I managed to listen to both odin and valkyrie mkII. To my ears the odin was a well balanced detailed beast, while the valkyrie had a flavored V-shape sound signature. The bass and mids were nice but i found the highs a bit too hot for my liking.

Oh, never mind. I see -

Original Valkyrie - Isn't the 'V' the other way? Mids have been rolled off? I'll find out soon enough. HOPEFULLY, mine ship today.

New Valkyrie - they stopped the roll off, I take it.
