More drivers in a certain range don't always equate to more amplitude. You could split the frequency range across the four drivers, so you can further control/fine-tune that range. Or, you could have all four drivers handle the same frequencies and get the same amplitude with less distortion/more headroom. Those are the two scenarios that come to mind based on my limited knowledge and experience. In any case, it's very likely that it's a deliberate choice vs "this is all we could get out of those e-stats".

I had this explained to me while at Empire Ears. Tuning the Odin was described as a battle between delivering the perfect amount of power to each component to get the right sound, without ending up with a power vulture. Pretty technical explanation I summed up but it didn’t sound like getting the weapon IX+ to play well with 4 estats was easy.

Not with the tracks I listen to.The Odin gives an extremely “clean” presentation. Resolution and clarity with the Code51 is prob at the top amongst the IEMs I own now - Elysium, Uni18S , Fourte Noir, Legend X and Z1R.

How many FE versions are now going to be made? Although I fully understand the overwhelming response, my blind purchase was somewhat predicated on only 200 Odin versions being made.

This review is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear (read). In particular the last bits toward the end, before “the bottom line” and also the bits below had me very happy. Looking forward to getting my hands on them now!

Dean’s signature on the shells is probably the most noteworthy addition to the limited serial number count. Also, what happens if the further release of FE versions spurs on even more sales? More FE’s being made? I’m not sure I’m happy about this ...

The reason so many didn't like the Wraith was because it needed SO much power to get it to where it worked "correctly." It really wasn't portable. But EE has now figured out how to get all the bits and pieces to work using less power, and the Odin is the result. Well done, EE.

I compared the IER-Z1R to the Odin.
Normalized at 60dB at 200Hz.
I say, this is as close to what I've heard when I compared the two.

I wanna go back to the shop and listen again lol I miss me some Odin goodness already.
