It's not that they are "good" or "accurate" phones...
They are just a lot of fun, and remind me of the Grado/Alessandro sound signature much more than the CX-300.

I have them and they really aren't that great. They sound good for $20, but not much more.

OP: I would suggest ath-ck7 or mylarone X3. Don't get a v-moda vibe, cx300, or ep-630, those are all bass heavy headphones and don't have the best mids/highs.

Ultimate Ears super.fi 3 is in eu much expensive, 85 euros appr. 100 $

the akg k324 seems to be very neutral with a lot of bass, i think i'll get them

the ep630 seems to be harsh

I they're not that great, then I stand by my original suggestion...which is right in line with the $50 budget that the OP laid out: Koss PortaPro

Are you sure about this? If anything of all, EP-630 is considered to lack upper detail. How can it be harsh when there isn't much upper detail to speak of?

Well, it seems you already make up your mind. Personally speaking, all sub$50 canalphones have quite apparent shortcoming on SQ. $50~$100 range are better and rather good for serious first time IEM user, and all the good stuff is (way) over $100.
