sure synergy will finally make the difference if its to ones preferences or not. But no matter which headphone you use, when trying it with both devices one should be able to tell if one is brighter than the other.

Absolutely. Having the Mojo by itself. It was OK sounding. But from changing back and forth between the TR-Amp and Mojo I quickly found that the TR-Amp sounded better to my ears and with my gear. Now, the Angel gets most listening time with me :)

Hi, I have a technical question regarding the Earmen Angel that I didn't see pop up in the entire thread, I'm aware it's going to be very niche but if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, feel free to pitch in.

Recently I got to try out the Angel and I downloaded the driver for it to use it with HQPlayer to upsample to DSD and to use my EQ profiles that I have already saved on it, after some listening I found that it the earmen sounded fine with DSD but it wasn't that engaging, compare to my current desktop setup, just wondering if it's recommended to play upsample DSD onto the angel and if somebody knows what's the sweetspot for DSD upsampling with it's DAC, DSD256, 512?

Yesterday, I tried out the external dac loop on the Meier Audio Soul with an Earman Angel as dac.
It was very good!

Following up on my previous comment, I was surprise how well the Angel handle and drove my LCD-X, I know it's not the most demanding planar on the market, but man it does feels really close to an actual desktop system.

Has anyone tried the moondrop variations with the Earman Angel? It's a wonderful combo! I have never heard "Thanks to you" from Boz Scaggs sounding so good. The seperation, the clearity, the soundstage is so immense.

Hi,

I will try to answer your questions:
1. The change is only of a cosmetic nature
2. Constantly holding the device on the charger will not damage the device or change the sound signal, but it will weaken the battery

Hope I helped.
Miroslav
I have bought Earmen Angel, an excellent sounding dac and amp.
As this has metal chassis and prone to scratches etc. from daily usage, I’m looking to confirm if there is an availability of leather case for it, and if it would be available anytime in future with your authorized retailer in India. Even if it’s not available would you recommend making a custom case for it? Just want to make sure it won’t interfere in anyway with the appropriate working of the device. I’ve searched internet and there’s no aftermarket case as well for it and hence looking for help.

Secondly, I see there is a firmware update available but could not find, what updates would be there, I mean the changes to be expected so that I can decide whether to update it or not.

thanks in advance

The Angel is a great sounding device that is for sure. To my knowledge there is no leather case for it. I have never seen one. Maybe a 3rd party option exists somewhere?

Also, the firmware update has no change to the sound. According to an earlier answer to the same question is that the update is not really needed if you have no issues with connection in windows. For Mac users it is redundant.

I tried to upgrade the Earman Angel firmware on a Windows 11 laptop and I am getting the error " the driver dll required to access the device is missing".

Thank you for answering it. I’m getting a custom leather case locally
