...anyway skullophile the thread starter added this mister tao link in the shockwave review

Did you get a MMCX cable included in the price ? If yes, it's a 6N pure silver cable, right ?
Is the seller easy to communicate with in English after you check-out ?

Fiio E12 is a very good amp, its about double the budget but well worth it. I got it for $127 a month ago on Amazon...now its $110Quote:

Cayin C5 and Fiio E12DIY would be ones to look at.
Cayin on warm side slightly (tubey) and DIY lots of opamp rolling combinations

With a $60 amp he will ruin a IEM like this. Better not use anything.

Thx Guys.
I'll save more $60 to get the E12 and be carefree for a long time.

Paulus XII, that could be very true. I didn't realize what I was missing with my E07K til I got my E12. Was like a while new world.

robervaul, it will be worth the extra money. E12 sounds great and has a ton of power. You will have ground noise on sensitive IEMs but it's bearable.

Yes, thats very true.

And when you start listening to a IEM like this with an iFi Micro iDSD or a Chord Mojo, then you realize of the true potential of the beast :D

Mentioned that in another thread, but since the topic is up - I'm looking for a good bang-for-the-buck portable amp, is the e12 the way to go? It has to be be interference free, since it's going to be in the vicinity of my phone..

The E12 has a LOT more power 880mw and a 5dB Bass boost. However the SNR and THD specs of the Topping are a smidge better.

Surprisingly I'm not as concerned about noise floor as most people are. Once the Music is playing I don't hear it.

If you want better specs you could Go to the E12A which some have described as having a Blacker  background but you sacrifice the Power, (about 1/2), and Its a TAD more spendy. I haven't heard anything really Negative about the Topping, mostly positive reviews, so I would think it's probably a great value for the $$$$.

EVERYTHING coming out of China recently is getting VERY good.

Paulus, I'd be more inclined to believe you because I lie.....

Yeah that's what I was taking about in my PM. You heard the noise floor on no music or when there isn't much music going on, just vocals, but once music gets going it's perfect. I don't mind it either, I kinda like it on certain tracks, my sister pointed it out to me in disgust (and she's the one using cheap buds lol)
