Yes.. night & day.. the Mini-i smokes the E10 with the HD-650's.  The DAC on the Mini-i is smooth and the amp drives the 650's much better.. airy, open, great bass, dynamics and extension.
I plugged the 650's into the E10 for a few minutes, tried it on low and high gain and very quickly decided no.. I found the sound grainy and constricted . The 650's are much better on the Mini-i. (I may try it again after 100 hours or so of break-in)
I got the E10 for the HD-25's and I find this to be a perfect combo. I guess it really depends on the headphones.  For the HD-25's, I doubt it's night and day.

is there a night and day difference between the mini-i and the e10? how do they differ, would you be able to pick them apart easily, blindfolded?

Here are some pics.. BTW.. the E10 is sounding great with my Senn HD25-II's (you can tell from the pics that I modded them). You can see how small the E10 is relative to the HD25 cup.

Nice Photos, maybe you can post some bigger size photos.

wow, crazy speed! I agree with you , that sometime one headphone should better in one special amp. also, human being is part of the whole audio system, and no everyone have the same listening . I had discussed it with David from westone , they

also make some earphone for people who have listening problem, some need even 30dB gain in some special frequency.

THE HONG KONG TRACKING DIDNT WORK THAT WELL.  MINE SAID ON THE 15TH IT LEFT HONG KONG AND I GOT IT TODAY ON THE 22ND.  not too bad.  anyways, i had a quick question.  when i turn bass boost on, the center gravity shifts towards the left somewhat.  when i turn it off, the headphones are centered again.  anyone else get this and know how to fix it?

That was me that said the RE0 would be a perfect match for it.  The REZERO does well without an amp but I can see why the E10 would be a perfect match for that IEM as well.  Your settings look good, except for the gain.  Putting the gain on high is causing that background noise.  High gain is only used for phones that need the amp moreover than IEMs like the REZERO which perform well with anything.  I would suggest keeping the gain on Low, putting the E10 volume at 4 or 5 and turn down the laptop volume until it's comfortable.  This will help burn in the amp as well as the REZERO.  I would probably suggest using the bass boost function with it because I am sure they sound amazing with that turned on.  I will be getting my old pair of RE0 back soon and cant wait to see what this thing will do for them.  But I would really suggest keeping the gain on low.

Got mine a several hours ago.

The E10 DAC does something really special for the RE-ZERO. Someone earlier said that the E10 seemed perfect for the RE0, and I can confirm that it's the same for its brother ZERO. It lets the IEMs be themselves, but brings detail, improves the soundstage, and adds the perfect amount of low end thump. It's a perfect marriage.

The TMA-1 sounds brighter, with better separation. Switching Gain to high pushes the high-end more forward, which is welcome with vocals. Bass boost feels really unnecessary with all of the music I've tested. The amount that's there is beautiful and adequate. Overall, there's no mindblowing difference vs the E7, but the subtle improvements are noticeable and provide a better listening experience.

RE-ZERO settings = Gain on High, Bass boost On. E10 volume dial at 3, laptop's volume at 50%

TMA-1 = Gain on High (on Low for some of my Hip-Hop), Bass boost Off, E10 volume at 4, laptop at 50%

With both sets, I'm hearing small details I've missed before.

p.s. - there is a tiny bit of background hiss, when using the RE-ZERO and Gain on High, but only when there's no music playing. Waaaay less hiss than I've heard from the E11 though.

yup, but mp4nation was the first to start taking pre-orders, not to mention the fact that headphonebar would've been 28 dollars more expensive.  headphonebar also only got their first batch as I received mine, too.
