I agreee, less punchy on subbass, lively feeling, cymbals excel, you can feel the touch on hihats,on good recordings. Right know I'm testing with Signe from Clapton's Unplugged, guitar strings and cymbLsw are superb.
In the changelog I don't see mention to gapless improvement, even if I never experienced any flaw,if not a small glitch from a song to another. More testing needed by myself!

Uh-oh; that's going to be a major problem for those of us whose music collections are heavy on the metal. >_> I might have to stick with 2.2, but there's no way for me to check right now because my DX90 is still in Moscow.

Why Moscow? Better prices?

Sanmigel just modded its hardware but hasn't received his payment from Western Union yet, or shipped it back. The wait is killing me.

tried 2.3.0.and i didn't like it (using K3003) , it sounded less full and bodied than my previous FW - reverted back to lurker 2.2.0

Scan times on my 128GB SanDisc card is about 3.5 minutes. Format is exFAT. I'll retest later.

Gap-less seems to be working fairly well. I can still hear a slight skip between tracks on Operation Mindcrime, more of a low pop or click than anything.  Honestly this is the first DAP I have ever owned that does gap-less this well. I really should just rip this one to a CUE+FLAC and be done with it. Gotta find the CD first.

I have not tried DAC functionality yet, I may later tonight on my Kubuntu system.

The odd issues with the back button are not resolved, not that they said it was fixed. That one is really weird. It seems to go back two tracks when clicked instead of to the beginning of the track or the previous track.
