Hey KC, I will be hitting the f5 on the new thread waiting for your impressions. I am anxious to hear your thoughts on the dx90 vs your ak240 and your 901. For some reason I thought you had an x5 to compare as well, but I don't see it on your roster.

BTW, I haven't been a big believer in dap burnin, but my new x5 took a few hours to open up and sound like the tour unit. Are you noticing any changes on the dx90 after putting a few hours on it?

I've made a thread specifically for people who want a comparison between the x5 and the dx90, i will be recieving my dx90 in the next two or 3 days....ill post my impressions on both threads, if anyone has both players it would be helpgul if you could also post your impressions on my thread. Im a dx90 beta test LION!!!! LOL

Yes I am planning to, I have already used the USB dac function for anything from 44/16 to 192/24. We would have to test the same files using the DX90. Now not all USB DACs can push it to 24/192 so maybe we should impose a limit as to which one to use for comparisons like say 24/96.

I'll compare the X5 by memory because I don't have it any longer but I still remember its sound. I will compare the DX50 when iBasso will have the firmware and driver available which might be never. Last, I will compare at a lower res the Intruder DAC. I am hoping to buy the Oppo HA-1 which has a Sabre 9018 DAC so that will be the ultimate comparison, that is if they don't sell it at a crazy price. Last the Calyx M if I am going to buy it, again that is a big if.

I am going to compare with my Dragonfly, and hopefully put my dragonfly up for sale within 2 songs played through the DX90.

Received the tracking number since satursday. Hope I can listen to it next week! I plan on using with Stax 002... Is there a place in europe where to find those rubber band to hold the player and the amp together?

I currently own an intruder and O2.
The low res intruder is amazing inspite of its lower resolution.

I've been researching some high end diy DACs, not sure which one I'll buy though.

Hoping the dx90 is good enough to leave everything else at home, but, I think I'll end up stacking it with my intruder. Loving the balanced output.
Just re-terminated my Roxanne cable and it's noticeably better.

The DX90/O2 will make a hell of a combo
