It is quite strange that if they seperate two channels' amplification, why dont they just implement a balanced out?

But even without balance out this dap will rules the mid tier dap market.

Oh, the opa1611 is very good sounding. I like it as much as the 627 and it is very transparent and solid bass.

I care about only three things in a dap:

1. SQ.
2. SQ.
3. SQ.

Cheers!

I know of 1 DAP that fits your criteria best. HM-901.

The spec sheet and the design schematics look pretty impressive. I think 2.8V rms is plenty for me personally, that's pretty much about the same as the Fiio X3/X5. I think the AK240 does about 2V rms? I think 2.8 gives just the right amount of balls on the thing.

DX90 is gonna be pretty awesome if they can ge the firmware right from the start. Since it's inheriting the DX50's that's looking likely as well.

If this is true then the specs on paper is pretty impressive than DX50. Both Low and mid gain voltage is a bit of a bump up over DX50. I don't mind about the high gain getting a bit of a cut. If you are going to need the high gain you might be better off getting an external amp.

The battery life is still still ok at 9 hours. I can wait to hear this. I just contacted my local dealer hopefully she can get a sample/stock from Ibasso as early as possible.

I asked Ibasso about this and their reply was that they simply couldn't fit the Hirose connector in the case.

I've got half a mind to crack open the DX90 when I get it and bust out the soldering iron to make a balanced lineout. Losing the 3.5mm lineout connector I should be able to fit the 4 wires through the hole in the case and then into a Hirose connector to plug into my PB2. Should be possible. Will look atrocious. Might sound slightly better.

Can you really tap the outputs without any other components needed?

I think you might just regret your project when done but if you want to go ahead then I can't wait to hear your results. :beerchug:
