I've just ordered one!

I will be using it as an HD server for my Opera Consonance CD2.3 Mk. III (possibly with a mains-powered HDD, if there is no loss of SQ relative to using SD cards), as well as using it OTG with a P4 and a pair of DT48Es (is this a unique combination?).

Does anyone know of a decent quality 3.5mm to RCA adapter plug, or would I be better off making up a dedicated 3.5mm plug to RCA coax out cable?

It's normal to receive no email confirmation at all.  You'll get a short confirmation message on the web site after you pay, but most people miss it.

Yes you can. Generally the Y cable is most useful when u have a power hungry external drive that the DX50 is not able to power it alone, with this cable, the external drive will draw power from the extra power source while maintaining communication with DX50.
 
Will it be able to charge DX50? This solely depends on DX50's implementation and not the cable alone. Will need to wait till someone try it with the actual product.

Dont think ibasso did say that is a red led. Might just be a red sticker etc etc.

It doesn't look like a painted play sign on the preview photo. Anyway yes, it's a bit sad, because those kind of leds are usefull and found on pro/ semipro audio gear.

Just noticed iBasso have updated their website indicating all of the second batch now reserved. Means I'm in the second batch. Hope they don't run out of batteries giving you first runners your spares!
