Yes, the 2 bottom feet. These are adjustable in position and needs to be positioned correctly to fit the headphone jack and 12v dc plug.
So nothing holds it in place. With a dap, I like something holding it in place so it doesn't fall from a stand, accidentally get pulled off etc. It does look nice. I would have had one spring loaded arm that would come down from the top.

You can spend much less on the stand. And it's as good.

Use Neutron which you can set how many bands you want to use up to 60 I believe for PEQ.
Thanks, I haven't used Neutron but believe it is an alternative to UAPP?
Any tips on EQ in Mango?

Not really you can do in mango if i remember 6 is all you get, it’s about as bare bones as you can get. As far as I can tell it does not even support replay gain. I was using mango till I did some research after every song I had to adjust the volume. I ran my entire library through fubar and let it do its thing. Neutron and power amp are my two go too. Power amp already has a library of eq. You just have to search your brand and choose which one you prefer for you listing device.

Amp16 after some good burn-in is a very very engaging amp modules. It brings the sweetness, liquidity and fluidity from the DX340 analogues aspects toward the next level.

Yes, it also has a slightly warmer presentations than amp15 but the sweeness and analogues will be another level. Just like the 15, using Linear power supplies will further improving the staging, separations and dynamic punchiness.

The more I listened to the amp16, the more I found that I love it engaging and sweetness. It can be very addictive as well, if you love tubes and analogs quality, for a DAP, it is pretty awesome to have.

I love it so much that I found a way to shines the tubes through...and here are pictures 😅

Are you comparing amp15 with AB, or tube mode? Which mode is your preference?

And of course... You can leave us hanging... How did you get the glow to go through??!!

In both AB and tube vs the 15. The more addictive one would be tubes mode.

The back plate needed some modification to open up a window for the tubes to shine through. The picture was exaggerating. In reality, the shines is very shy when it is inside the leather case :)

Hello everyone. I just received my DX340. It is my first iBasso DAP. I was swayed by the opportunity to change analog amp. So far, it is sounding great right out of the box. No burn in, yet. I’m comparing to the Hiby RS8. My question: what is the purpose or optimal setting for dac gain, in conjunction with amp gain? I’m not experiencing any issues with my iems. Running both settings at low. Thanks so much.

If I remember correctly the manual says to use the burnin cable and run everything at the max level for 100 hours or so. Honestly I run the DAC level on high all the time. I feel it boosts the resolution and detail of the higher frequencies. After burn in I pretty sure just use what sounds better to you and uses the least amount of processing and power. Although you should read through the manual. I think I'm telling you right but I don't have it in front of me.

I would play at a normal volume with regular resolution music.

Paul says to just listen at a normal volume with regular resolution music to burn in DAP.

Very interesting. I’m was looking into RS8 as a complementary to DX340. Let us know your thoughts.

When I got mine I went right to Super Gain and listened normally so I could hear the changes over time. Biggest change was bass which improved around 10 hours of use. I am no expert but perhaps the extra power provided to amp card sped the process up? Have been a Super Gain addict ever since!

can create this script if anyone wishes and it would work on the non-root only devices.
That would be cool 👍. Not everyone is comfortable to root.

Right, you burn in a normal listening level. Using a max on everything, especially volume will heat up the amp and you could do some damage with running it at max for a long period of time.
