You are one of the lucky ones. See my post above. Most people do not have your knowledge and I agree doing wipe data in Recovery is best. I do it even after a flash with QFIL.
Matt, I appreciate the feedback. And I know you had a rough week, sorry for that. But let's try to approach issues, if any, in a constructive way...and report them to iBasso.

First Bloom batch here and this unit has been solid from the jump

I don't think it is fair to Paul or the team to catastrophize a new launch less than a month in with a handful of software issues

I am not speaking for iBasso, I am on the other hand saying, brother we are all invested into this thing, lets give them the week to celebrate and most of this stuff will be a FW push and fix within a week. Now, if units are hardware based damaged or coming out of the factory smoked out... then lets maybe pick up a horn and blast it then

your enthusiasm shows and that level of enthusiasm can guide a narrative

I say this from the heart bro because I see yours

Pozdrav

That is what will be done. Paul will be made aware of them. I am not trashing iBasso. I want to help them. I spent $1500 to have 2nd 340 for such reasons and to have spare. I have had NO issues with DX260 or DX180 when I had it. I did not buy either when they 1st came out.

That is total nonsense. I use my DX340 at least 3-4 hours a day, with and without WiFi, with and without USB connected, with and without SD card, etc., and I have only found 1 minor issue in the latest firmware. Charging was fixed completely: all 3 chargers I have work without any issues. And no, I don't use UAPP (actually I do on my Z-Fold6), as I don't want Google stuff to be running in the background on a DAP. I feel sorry for those who ran into problems. But saying that it is full of bugs is just incorrect and not fair.

Btw I always do a full reset (via recovery menu) after any Android update. Curious to hear if those experiencing issues also did that.
I did a reset, immediately following the FW update, but I did it from System / Reset Options / Factory Reset (Erase All)
So, I just went back wiped it 3 more times from Recovery Mode and am setting it back up. I'll keep you posted if this eliminates it. It'll take a couple of days because it has proven to be an intermittent random issue without any discernable pattern attached to it. A couple good listening sessions and I should know.

I myself have been using the DX340 since it came out, on stock firmware, and have experienced virtually no issues. I see a lot of people here using it and over the Internet and only see a handful of people having issues. That was what issues naturally will be more vocal as well.
It's unfortunate, but to say there is no excuse and that these bugs should never have been possible to appear after release is unfair and not realistic IMO.
With any product or application that you build, you can have a hundred testers tested a thousand different ways and still not catch everything.
The only thing you can try to do, is mitigate how many and how widespread issues become.

That said, I hope everyone experiencing issues can get it resolved quickly and the issues don't become widespread

While I agree not all bugs can be found but the major ones can. I work in IT so familiar with a lot. To find bugs one would have to test every single usage scenario which is impossible as every single app one might install would have to be tested while on device etc. Again I am not here trashing iBasso. To have charging issues is not acceptable as that is a basic function needed to run the device. I still have them.

I'm a happy owner of the DX340 for a week now. As soon as I received it, I updated the FW through OTA and I had no issues with it, none.

I use it exclusively in DC in mode with my beloved MEZE Elite and is a thrill !!! Coming from another "portable" system (xduoo xd05 Pro), but the difference is night and day: a lot of more information and details, space and imaging, soundstage... huge difference. And all of these with the analogue touch.

I listen to all kinds of music (old rock, new rock, jazz, pop, some edm... everything sound sublime! I just passed the phase of searching for more songs to try, to find the differences... Now, most of the time I keep it on shuffle... and just enjoy the music!

If you want to go from a (suspect) being sponsored to a too harsh criticism as a person of what the internet would thought you out to be. There is no other place better than Ibasso thread 🤣🤣🤣

How does Matt go from suspected Ibasso sponsor into a too harsh criticism ? Is beyond me....

The internet..just being the internet 🤣🤣

I am very direct to the point and call it as I see it. Did I call 340 a bad product? NO. Did I say SQ was bad, NO. Did I say I am going to sell my units and never buy Ibasso, NO. Did I say do not buy 340, NO. I am pointing out an area of improvement that can be fixed so easily - at least major bugs. I work in IT industry so I know and because of this have a different way of looking at stuff like this. IF you want to ignore me, easily done with ignore feature, or me to leave this thread let me know. I will post my guides etc in my thread and if people want to see them they are free to without any of my posts in here and you all can continue along.

I think that battery calibration (discharging to 0 and charging to 100%) is crucial. It probably won't solve all the problems I've read about here, but it's an important factor not only for system optimization, work culture, but also for SQ itself. It's best to do it several times (at least 3), not only for new devices, but also after restoring factory settings. It's a pity that there are no separate indicators for the charge status of both batteries, like in DX320.

I use Android most of the time. No issues with charging. I even share with the USB C from my Mac computer. Also no issues with playing any of my music, no bugs that I have found.

On my unit, it was with Mango Player, UAPP, Custom Radio Player, My Tuner Radio and Roon. The app being used seems to be irrelevant to the problem.

This wasn't hiss, this was a wall of noise at full volume coming out of the left channel while music continued to play at 14 out of 100 on the right.... Excruciatingly loud noise in the left.
Take care of your ears and IEMs. This shouldn't happen
