You read my mind lol. You are killing me. I am going to have to sell some stock so I can keep that other 340 and get that Amp modified.
Please list parts needed with links. I know someone that can sodder. Glad you mentioned this before I sold the 2nd 340. I can't be without a 340, not even for a day.
So, Is this my new favorite song: "I've Got The 340 Blues"?
I listened to my new 340 for about 5 hours yesterday and when I finished up, I plugged in a set of IEM and let it run overnight for about 12 hours. I got up this morning, put in my buds and everything sounded sweet. I was listening at 14 out of 100 and about 10 minutes in, the left channel filled with white nose & static at 100 out of 100 and pretty much blew out my ear drum. I switched between local files, internet radio stream and roon - made no difference - left side full of violent loud white noise. Did a restart and problem was gone. So I figured it was just a freak thing and forgot about it. 1/2 an hour ago, I'm back to listening and after an hour and the left channel starts clicking intermittently until it become constant then constant clicking turns to that wall of white noise. I tried to restart, this time it made no difference and it was still there on reboot. Shut it down for an hour and then it was gone. I dont trust this thing and my ear drum is still screaming from this morning's incident. Hard to say if this is firmware or something in the circuitry - but for sure it's not good.

On UAPP, this happens sometimes. I boot up the DX340 and play a track on UAPP, after selecting another track I start hearing hiss either in the Left or Right channel, I find that I can reset this without rebooting the player by playing a track on Mango Player App and then switching back to UAPP and there will be no noise at all for whatever tracks I play.
This is without 12v DC in.
So wierd.
DSD512 is still stuttering. And some are having charging problems with the new firmware.
The new firmware must be to blame, there are inconsistencies with the problems DX340 owners are having, some don't have any of these problems at all for some reason.
We will just have to wait it out until the first week of February when Lunar New Year break is over in China so iBasso can start addressing these problems with a new firmware update.
Don't forget the DX340 is still a very new player.
If it's the circuitry to blame, then it will be a disaster for iBasso

Put issue in a few sentences and I will post in bugs post. Sounds like when you did FW upgrade it did not take. Before I fixed mine it sounded horrible. You can always send to Bloom to be inspected. I am 100% positive FW will fix. As soon as I get info from Paul I will test and post. Guide is already done. Just have to change what needs changing.
UAPP indeed has those noises problems randomly. More like firmware bugs imo. Should be resolved by FW soon. I stopped using that and bacl to mangoOS or Mangoplayer

I am going to have serious talk with Paul about these software issues. There is no excuse for this. Proper testing would have uncovered all these bugs. I want to make our lives better and help ibasso fix it's worst area that needs a lot of improvement. It is up to Paul if he will accept my help which is FREEE. If you agree email him. If enough people do that then he will allow me to help. Since I will find a way to keep that 2nd 340 I can test anything and keep using my main unit. No one else can do that here unless they have another 340.

This wasn't hiss, this was a wall of noise at full volume coming out of the left channel while music continued to play at 14 out of 100 on the right.... Excruciatingly loud noise in the left.
On my unit, it was with Mango Player, UAPP, Custom Radio Player, My Tuner Radio and Roon. The app being used seems to be irrelevant to the problem.

I remember with the Fiio DAPs like the M15, there was a recommendation to do factory reset 3x after any firmware update. To make sure to clear out anything left over. I only reset 1x with 1.01.237.and not having any issues that I know of. Though I only listen to music on the SD card with Mango.

The BEST way to upgrade FW is to flash it with QFIL. I will have guide on that as soon as I get info from Paul and test myself. OTA/Local updates are prone to issues. Anyone having issue should go into Recovery Mode and do wipe data. Done by holding down top/track forward button and hitting RESTART or with DAP off hold same button and at same time while still holding button and connect into charger. Choose wipe Data and do the wipe data 3 times while still in recovery mode for good measure.
That is total nonsense. I use my DX340 at least 3-4 hours a day, with and without WiFi, with and without USB connected, with and without SD card, etc., and I have only found 1 minor issue in the latest firmware. Charging was fixed completely: all 3 chargers I have work without any issues. And no, I don't use UAPP (actually I do on my Z-Fold6), as I don't want Google stuff to be running in the background on a DAP. I feel sorry for those who ran into problems. But saying that it is full of bugs is just incorrect and not fair.
Btw I always do a full reset (via recovery menu) after any Android update. Curious to hear if those experiencing issues also did that.

I have found on the OG and new FW when swapping LO and PO sometimes it will not swap over until the volume is moved and there is a delay in swapping over or it will keep the LO full 100 volume on PO before swapping over by lowering the volume by one click.
Swapping apps has also given some playback errors as well. Mango will sometimes not play back DSD properly and a restart of the song is needed or a full song change and or app reopen.
I have almost no issues with Tidal or Qobuz, Mainly Mango, Nuetron and some hiccups on UAPP but still enough to only stick with the streaming direct.
It has happened intermittent and enough to voice a concern
Side not to an earlier conversation about USB C in, My unit also pulled 9v steady charging or when at 100% in bypass

You are one of the lucky ones. See my post above. Most people do not have your knowledge and I agree doing wipe data in Recovery is best. I do it even after a flash with QFIL.
