Snowpeas! Another chinese apk market. You can virtually find any app under .apk and install on androids. Not sure how safe it is lolNew to iBasso with a new DX340 I am enjoying. Dows anyone know what this android app with chinese characters is that was present on first boot?
I would prefer to delete it as it is unknown to me.
Thanks, Mark
I deleted that and Aptoide as I don't intend to download and Install anything from those marketplacesNew to iBasso with a new DX340 I am enjoying. Dows anyone know what this android app with chinese characters is that was present on first boot?

Astell&Kern Kann Max vs DX340 my observations.
Up until I recieved the DX340 for evaluation my Astell&Kern Kann Max has been my go to for a clean uncolored source.
I still believe the Kann Max is one hell of a fantastic DAP.
The Kann Max came out i
Mid 2022 and when new sold for $1299 + $149 for the case , now you can buy it for $999 + $149. It uses quad ES9038Q2M DAC Chips and will pretty much anything you plug into it.
But here was my observations:
- First thing you notice is how much more intimate the stage is closer and with more within your headspace.
- For example playing "1234" by Feist the amount of information in the track, the DX340 pulls out versus the A&K is simply staggering in the difference.
- Not only more information, but where it gets placed in the sound field. The Kann groups the instrumental and vocals closer together, where the dx 340 allows the vocals and instrumental to be played in their own space, separated by a good amount of width and depth and layered instead of a compressed presentation together.
In this song, the banjo is reproduced with more realism and clarity, crisper with better note weight, and you can hear the resonances of the strings easier.
Speaking of the bass on the DX340, it is clearly deeper and Fuller than on the A&K which I've always found to be a bit bass lean. Maybe lean isn't the correct word. I would more describe it as tight and fast and not pronounced or exaggerated. In any way.
Lastly the biggest difference is an overlay of what I would call a digital sheen, a slight veil layered over top of the music and with the DX340 seems to be stripped bare with only the music layer playing? If that makes sense.
I hope this helps if you have a Source like the Kann Max and were thinking about upgrading.
I was just speaking about sound , but so many other things makes the DX340 in a totally different league, Swappable amp cards, the Filters that make a sonic difference ( On the Kann switching filters for me makes ZERO difference)
The Screen as you can see is so much better.
And then there is the UI the user experience with either Mango or Full Android vs The Astell&Kern software and UI is not bad but hard to navigate and OMG not a easy task for fat fingers where the DX340 is a absolute pleasure to use in that regard.
Streaming service Tidal for me is again night and day experience I am using UAPP with Tidal Intergration and love it.
Thought I would share this part before my full review.
I have the Kann Ultra and never felt the need to change/upgrade so far.Appreciate the time annd effort for the impressions!
Definitely still sounds like the Kann Max does well.

You posted link to Cayin. I would not uninstall anything but disable. Here is list that you can use that is from Android 13/DX180 that confirmed works without issues:Just delete all that crap, use Google Play store but after you've downloaded your music player apps ect. just disable Google Play services in System Settings/Apps/See all apps
Then you can debloat your DX340 via android adb commands to speed up boot time and android responsiveness.
https://npaudio.boards.net/thread/277/cayin-n8ii?page=7&scrollTo=3834
and also adb commands for faster boot time,
" adb shell cmd package compile -m speed-profile -f -a "
Later we can even root the DX340 to allocate more cpu power for audio processing and maybe save a little battery life by disabling certain android functions we don't need.
No brainer. DX340. When tube amp card comes out you will have that ability in the DX340. I would never buy another DAP that I can't change battery myself and you know iBasso is well built and will last. The specs on the DX340 are better too. Added plus it can be rooted once IMG FW is made available.I've never had the chance to try class A so far . Not on a speaker stereo nor dap. I read that the Class A tends to bring ,,analogish" warmth to the sound but judging by the Ibasso house sound description that is perhaps not always the case. I have 10 days until payday, to decide should I go with the m8t or the dx340 as my birthday presentBy the way as of today the dx340 is available as instock item to order here in UK, unlike the m8t which is still with "preorder" availability. Thanks Whitigir for confirming that
As mentioned previously, I don't really believe in these kind of tweaks. With only a handful of optimizations, I managed to bring down memory-usage to only 2GB, with hardly anything running in the background:You posted link to Cayin. Btw Quickstep is the Launcher app.
