For me no contest LO and PO and smoother Analoge sound and when you want a more resolving Source throw the AMP15 back in.Confirming Amp14 > Amp16?
I would love to listen to this combo one day...the EA4 although is soo expensive, wouldn't you say at this price point it makes sense to just buy table top amp? Cause I doubt anyone would want to walk around much with those 2 bricks, maybe 3 if you'd add a power bank... I fell in love with Gemini by Sparkos lab this year at Axpona... It's not the most expensive amp, only $800 discounted... But everything sounded sooo luxurious and juicy, and very emotional. I was previously a fan of Wandala by Ferrum, $3.5k for just the amp, but Gemini sounded better to me, way more musical, every note on strings would instantly pluk soul strings in response.
What do more experienced than me guys think of EA4 VS stationary amps considering the price? @F700 @Whitigir
In my opinion the EA4, priced on par with the Feliks Audio Euphoria Evo—a high-end tube desktop amp—offers key benefits in its compact size and transportability, making it well-suited for use around the house, travel, office setups, or meetups with friends. While the Evo delivers warmer, richer tube tones, the EA4 shines with its neutral, detailed presentation thus offering a lot of versatility. It also supports sonic adjustments to complement various headphones and IEMs, while offering lower maintenance costs (no tube rolling- which can be considered a con) and reduced warmup and ON time requirements.
That said, desktop amps (tube and solid state) generally outclass portable/transportable amps in raw performance. However for me, the EA4's flexibility ensures it gets more use, ultimately delivering better overall value.

This. This is exactly what I found through a quick search on Google. I'd 100% stay away from npaudio if there's no guarantee of basically anything. There are also people on reddit very skeptical of npaudio and one user commenting on a WM1A mod saying he wouldn't mess with relay switches.fyi....

I have 3 NPAudio modded items. 2 AMP12 and a D16. There is no lack of his modded devices here in Singapore. My main amp card is his AMP12EXN-S. The closest thing to a Max until the 340 is released. I can't speak for others, but I never had a dodgy experience with him.

What power bank are you using. Thanks12V Super Gain mode + battery bypass = "desktop" setup nearly 400kms away from home.
All these talks of amp14 vs amp16 has me wondering if I should return/exchange my 16 for a 14. Thoughts? Never tried the 14 back when I had the DX320.

NpAudio has been around for years. Dont think there are better niche modders like Steve is.This. This is exactly what I found through a quick search on Google. I've had 7 amazing modifications and 3 repairs there over the years with zero issues and received stella service. On top of that I could find nowhere else on earth to do the repairs I needed. Whoever wrote those posts has no experience using them and no clue what they are talking about. The WM1A modification is absolutely jaw dropping.

It's just the post on Audio Science Review made me question the modder because of the lack of info. I have no other basis by which to form an opinion other than what I read on forums. I never used his services so I can't really comment like I did. This is an expensive hobby and we all want peace of mind, especially when mailing gear. I'm starting to change my mind about npaudio. The more people reply back with positive results, I might eventually lean towards trusting the modder wholeheartedly. I'm genuinely saying that.I've had 7 amazing modifications and 3 repairs there over the years with zero issues and received stella service. Hi all, i want to know your oppinion. Wich of the following: amp14, amp15, amp16 (AB or Tube) has the most accurate pinpoint imaging . I'm asking because I'm playing (CS 2) first person shooter. My headphones are HE1000SE.
The DX340 paired with the EA4 delivers an astoundingly realistic reproduction of cymbals—whether it’s crashes, rides, splashes, or hi-hats. It’s among the finest I’ve ever experienced, and it’s simply phenomenal!

Nitecore NB10000 Gen 3 when out and about because it's really lightweight. Doesn't have the highest power (maxes out at PD 22.5W) but it's more than enough for the DX340's SG mode. What power bank are you using. Thanks

Only ~36 hrs burn in on the AMP15. Going very well so far. At home I plug in the 12VDC-In but didn’t bother taking the extra adapters/powerbanks to work.

Hi Folks. I'm planning on listing my AMP14 (w/340 faceplate) and AMP16 and wanted to give the diehard fans first dibs. The AMP14 is NIB and the AMP16 is opened but never installed. US only please.
The AMP15 synergy with my Noire X is so that I just haven't felt need to swap.
Shoot me a PM if interested. Ideally, it would be a package deal.
