hello,
im new to the DX320, and have a lot to learn from this thread. been back reading and searching this thread for a solution to an issue i have encountered with my unit.

has anyone found a solution to the issue why apps like HIFICAST, BUBBLE UPNP, and Hiby Music could not recognize music files stored in the external SD card?

i have installed a sandisk 1tb card with around 650gb of music files (mp3, flac, wav, DSD). the Mango app is able to recognize and play the files. but taking Hificast as an example, it recognizes the music files but is not able to play them.
this is the same card i have used with my previous DAP, and the apps that i have mentioned are able to recognize and play the stored music files.

hope to find some answers before jumping to any conclusions and decisions.

thanks a lot.

PS i have uninstalled and reinstalled the apps inhave mentioned, but to no avail.

Dumb question but are you sure you are selecting the Folder that contains the music in your SD Card directory?

yes.
hificast and bubble upnp automatically recognizes the folder where the music files are stored.
but with the hiby music app, it COULD NOT recognize the folder at all.

It is “a thing” for Android 11. You will need all music files to be stored in a “Root Folder named Music

This is driving me crazy, as there is no rhyme or reason to it.

The alternative way of changing volume, once you have moved the volume wheel a bit, is to move two fingers on the screen. Then, the volume will increase or decrease based on whether you are increasing the size of the circle or making it smaller.

This is not a rocket science concept, and I think goes way back a decade or more. My problem is that the DX320 can't decide if making the circle a different size will increase or decrease the volume. Sometimes enlarging makes it louder, sometimes softer. Some making the circle smaller decreases the volume, and sometimes makes it louder.

Anyone else encountered this?

Can anyone recommend a cheap case for holding the DX320? Not the immediate case, but one for travel so that no part of the DX320 is out of it. They sell all kinds on Amazon (for carrying hard drives, or bluetooth speakers, etc.) but I can't find one. Thanks.

That would be frustrating. Haven't had it happen but would do a factory reset and make sure you are on the latest firmware.

I don't think a factory reset will help with finding the case, but yes, it is a bit frustrating not to find one.

Just kidding. I know you meant to respond to the prior message. Good idea. I'll try it. And I am on latest firmware. :)

Actually, I did not encounter this because after turning the volume wheel, I adjust the volume with 1 finger swiping simply up or down.

You mean like a waist/shoulder bag or pouch?

I have two options....one when walking/hiking/riding a bicycle/electric scooter. A canvas backpack/sling. The other option is a Caseling case (for travel).

I use the 1 finger swipe up/down also.

Valentinum on Etsy makes great cases. I don't know what you consider "cheap". He charges about $100 with shipping. They are hand made and leather. He puts a cutout on the back with mesh to allow for more effective cooling.

His cases are kinda bulky, but the extra leather gives drop/shock protection.

Look what came in the mail today! Was really lucky that Steve had some Amp13s laying around and he managed to slot me in for the EXN mod over the weekend.

Currently plugging in my HD650s in them, so far I’m impressed by the spaciousness and warmth of the music.
I'm curious in this amp mod. Can you link me?

Edit: nvm found it!
